When someone cancels, or changes an order, after it has shipped, there are costs associated with doing that for you. Waiting a couple of days to cancel or change an order is normally to late, particularly when orders are electronically processed to manufacturer/supplier automatically, with our software system. The initial order processing and handling costs(labor, packaging, shipping cost, insurance, etc.) are costs that were included in the sale and not free. Free shipping is a discount, and not actually free. Calling a shipment back, or getting it redirected, is normally not free. When a return arrives someone has to unpack, inspect, update inventory records, and properly store products in the warehouse, or in some cases shipping it back to the manufacturer; those costs are not free. When an order is returned to a manufacturer they normally charge the seller/customer a restocking fee to recover those costs, which often does not cover all the associated costs. This is why we state our related policies on our store front, and we do try to keep cancellation, change, return and restocking costs minimized.
