They keep spamming my e-mail box with ridiculous offers after I told and retold them to not do so. I do not work for peanuts and I do not understand people who accept their rates. Update: They keep flagging my experience shared on Trustpilot as defamatory after I had already sent them more than five PO numbers to prove the veracity of my experience. What we really have to doubt are the positive comments that this company has that seem to be written by the same person. Anyone can create fake accounts and leave fake comments to give a positive impression, but my comment is 100% genuine and backed up with evidence. I do not recommend Tomedes to any translator who has a bit of pride.

I reached out to a translation agency for machine translation post-editing (MTPE) services, providing them with all the necessary *.xliff files for analysis. Instead of calculating the cost for MTPE services, they billed me as if it were a full translation from scratch, which is completely inaccurate. Such an approach not only demonstrates unprofessionalism but also dishonesty, as it was clearly stated that only post-editing was required, not a complete translation. This will lead to an unjustified increase in the cost of services. Disappointed with the service and their approach to clients, I do not recommend this agency if you value your time and money. You sent me the file with the cost calculation (I can upload it here as proof if you want to argue) — let everyone see how you calculate the cost of work, without even analyzing the files sent by the client, in which it is clear that only 10-20% of the total volume require corrections, while 80-90% are already of excellent quality and without distortions. But you, apparently, consider all clients to be fools from whom you can squeeze extra money out of thin air. You took the total word count (100%) and multiplied it by the cost of translating from scratch for each word. Let all potential clients steer clear of you! Greedy fraudsters.

Do not use this service. My project was delivered multiple weeks late containing contunued errors despite many rounds of calls and feedback. You cannot trust this company to complete the job professionally.

I am shocked. They have a 4.9 rating. I am pretty sure most of the reviews here are fake and/or paid. It was just 4.7 yesterday. They charged me a rush hour fee and delivered all the files late. One of the files was even 9 days late. They really don’t have any full time staff. They hire linguists on an ad hoc basis after they are approached by a prospective client. The quality of the translation is not guaranteed. They will leave you hanging if you require any improvements because the linguist who did the job for them has run off somewhere so they can’t get hold of him anymore. There is a guy called Rexon who will keep giving you fake assurances all the time saying,”He is contacting his operations team for updates,” We are working as we speak.””We will get back to you with updates.” “ Our manager will contact you” No manager contacts you. Their interpretation of updates is to shamelessly keep asking for extensions even though they have charged you a rush hour fee. Corporates will cry after going through their shameless excuses. The truth is they have already taken your money, they have no full time teams, no one is working. I wrote to their “senior managers “ but received no response. There are 2 roles there. One phone operator who will just try to hold you off without knowing what you need. The other person will give you fake updates. Both the people call themselves customer success executives whose job is to “assist “ you. Trust me guys. No one is assisting you. They are just giving excuses. The 1 year guarantee is a joke too. They can’t deliver the first time. Delivering on the guarantee is a far fetch. Professionalism cried when they did business with this firm. Edit: So after I put my review here some manager called Emilyn tried contacting me with more excuses about updates instead of the actual delivery. So now it’s pretty clear neither do they understand the requirements, nor do they have the linguists or other staff to do such a simple task. 2nd edit: Received new email from Emilyn finding excuses for their late delivery stating it wasn’t part of the original instructions which is a bunch of crap considering that all their all their deliveries have been late. Forget the 1 year guarantee. Now they are finding excuses such as holiday season, not part of original instruction. They didn’t say anything 5 days ago. I am having serious doubts as to how does this company still exist. Addition 1/6/2023: The initial projects weren’t delivered on time even though I paid rush hour fee. One of the translations was delayed by up to a week. Projects given to Tomedes required repeated follow ups. This has caused me a lot of stress. That being said, They ultimately did correct the issues I had with the delivery particularly after I put my review here. But, I would continue to state that it did it cause me a lot of stress and it wasn’t the greatest customer experience.

Do not use them for Chinese. Absolute garbage. I had them translate a pitch deck and the investor said they had never seen so many errors in one document. I should have known when I caught an error having taken two semesters of mandarin a decade ago. Really trash and they don't stand by the quality. All they offer is to do it again. This isn't trial and error. My investors' jobs are not to proofread their shoddy work.
