Very poor guidance through the process. They are not clear on pricing. The text layout is foolishly confusing.
I cannot recommend this company at this time.

Hi James, Yes, I am finally catching up to our TrustPilot review comments! I see what happened in your case. Your trademark order confirmation, sent June 7th, 2018 listed your trademark research due date as June 16, BUT the 16th was a Saturday. The mistake was that we are closed Saturday, and our initial staff member who processed your order should have caught it, or one of our research staff members would have realized it and notified you. My assumption is that it was a typo in the first place only in your confirmation, not in the scheduling - so our research staff did not notice the Saturday scheduling on the confirmation because they would never have looked there. They only deal with actual orders. In any case, you must have wrote your TrustPilot review very early on June 18th, because I see our trademark research report being emailed to you very early, Monday June 18th at 7:56am CST. I hope this helps and motivates you to please do a re-review here, to help our TrustPilot cause. These reviews do matter - A LOT! Chris 650-948-0530

Hi Michelle, Sorry to see you thought we could do better. I just skimmed your 48 page summary file and see only 2 things you could be perturbed about. 1) Our applications specialist used the original credit card you gave us, not the new one you gave us, thereby causing a credit card decline that was refused by the USPTO at checkout. So, we redid your USPTO filing without penalty. 2) When you emailed everyone in our staff, we told you it was not necessary. You probably did not realize your trademark was passing through our staff and the only person relevant to your file was the last person working on it, who was emailing or calling you. This is an issue we are aware of, to clarify exactly how we work, so client's expectations are more realized. We are working on a new program to mitigate this issue that we should implement soon. Your comment is a good reminder. Thank you. I apologize your experience should have been better. Sorry. Please call me if there is anything I missed in my assumptions here.Chris 650-948-0530

It's a very long and tedious drawn-out…
It's a very long and tedious drawn-out task....
If you're not able to help you they keep your money no matter what you cannot get a refund or even a percentage back....
If you're not able to help a person with their trademark and they have no other trademarks to perform to roll over I believe they should be able to get their money back at least 50% I think this trademark company is robbing people......

Good Morning Porter, Our policy saved you $1000. You are talking about a policy, our policy we have practiced for 25 years as a huge advantage to our clients. You seem to think that the trademark process is automatic. Trademarks need to be LEGALLY CLEAR. Clients hire us to get a final name, that is LEGALLY CLEAR - as you did - BECAUSE you are going to do business in any case, HOPEFULLY with your #1 name choice, but IF that name is in fact found to be LEGALLY BLOCKED as 30% to 40% of names are, given the type of business it is, when it comes to comprehensive research - as we specialize, as TRADEMARK attorneys do as the USPTO recommends. This is our Premium Package - where we do Step-By-Step research AND you saved $200 off each name x2 = $400 saved when you commit to the Premium Package, as you did. See your order confirmation. Please see: https://www.tmexpress.com/choose-trademark-express/#sbss. You could have ordered your 2 names per step, and paid as you went - but you would not have gotten the $200 discount, per name. Besides the discount, our Premium Package makes sure your mark is in fact legally clear at the 1) Preliminary search, 2) the trademark search then 3) the common law search. IF NOT, just like in your case where BOTH the names you hired us to trademark were blocked early, at the Preliminary search - which we do for FREE. Our approach is unique among trademarking services and attorneys - we are the ONLY trademarking company we have ever seen in 25 years to offer this common sense policy - because we analyzed as we go. Comprehensive research takes 4-5 hours and can be cut up into the 3 steps we do because the databases differ and the research strategies differ. So, there is an opportunity to save clients $ - so we do. We are mystified why no other company does or has in the 25 years we have been in business. So, back to your experience where both your names we blocked at the preliminary search level which we do not charge for, BUT we still have spent probably 2-3 hours combined staff and trademark attorney time in determining you actually were blocked and needed a new name. For 1 name, you replaced it quickly and it was found to be legally clear and we filed the trademark at the USPTO. For the second name, we are awaiting your next name choice. Let me make you aware, if you had hired any of our equal competitors or trademark attorneys who outsource the needed comprehensive research - both types do not offer Step-By-Step research - you'd would have paid $1000 to $1500 more to redo the research for 2 names AND wait another 7-14 days for the work to be done. Saving $1000 seems like a good deal to me! Hope this helps! Please call to discuss. Chris 650-948-0530
