TimeSolvReviews of timesolv.com

Timesolv desperately needs a report builder function. If your needs don't fit their standard reports and you reach out for customer service and support the response is to steer you to another report which doesn't meet your needs or to tell you that you're on your own.

It has been useful for simplifying the invoicing process. But the UX is really clunky and the company doesn't appear interested in making simple upgrades (like adding color to more easily identify the active timer, or allowing users to view timers based on which was most recently used as opposed to alphabetically, or enabling a default so that timer will start when created instead of requiring user to also choose that each time). My biggest issue is that there is no way to view when a timer was started/stopped, so if you forget to start a timer (for example by not selecting the extra box to indicate that it should start when created), or stop a timer, then it's very hard to re-create the day, and each time I make one of those mistakes I lose valuable billable time. I wish they would focus on getting the basic to be great, rather than adding new features that are not essential.

I am a sole practitioner, after working many years for firms of various sizes. I have used TimeSlips for most of my career. Switched to TimeSolve a few months ago. Likes: Easy time entry Decedent conversion of my TimeSlips data Easily glance at time entry screen to see how much you've billed for day, week, month Easier to use than Timeslips Cloudbased Dislikes: Not as good of reports as Timeslips Trust accounting not as good as Timeslips Have to pay on a subscription instead of buy software and not update for years Can't go back and retroactively change time entries when you are preparing bill for client Summary: Timesolv is probably better for sole practitioners than larger law firms. I am glad I switched from Timeslips but not overjoyed

Just getting to know the software.

As long as you charge every client the same amount this is a great software. You can not make an hourly rate per client when you add them to the system. Not user friendly and for answers you have to call customer service and make an appointment to have them explain how to use the software. I can easily learn new software but this one has been a pain to learn.

TimeSolv lacks many features of more mature internet-based timekeeping and billing solutions. it is pretty good at the basics and is more of a bare-bones choice for the budget-minded.

Good and probably for the price even better but a real hassle to learn and check charges on individual clients when reviewing bills

Need to improve your timer function and make it more intuitive. Need to improve the loading speed of auto-predict when typing in a client/matter. More data products would be interesting in the time entry page (e.g. how much time you have spent for clients that month)
