The timber plates ordered were fantastic. and an unfortunate situation came up when the order that showed it was delivered came up missing. Timberplates replaced it at no additional cost even though it was no fault of theirs what so ever. I highly recommend

Amazing job. Plates fit perfectly. Very easy to work with on a small, but custom order!

Good, knowledgeable, friendly company. They were helpful in pre-order planing but when I made my order (online) it gave me several shipping options (I chose FedEx 3 day and paid extra for that) but when they shipped my order they packed it for freight. When I noticed it, I contacted them and told them of the mistake. They repacked the order and sent it FedEx. Once in FedEx's hands it was horrible but that's not timberplates fault. I only got one of the four packages on time so I should get a refund of 3/4 of my shipping cost.

Hello, I ordered two special sized T brackets and specifically requested 9/16 holes for structural reasons. The two brackets that arrive today have 5/8 inch diameter holes. It's at the end of the world, but it will take me a good half of a day in the shop on a metal lathe fabricating some steel bushings to take up the space in the holes, and I have to reschedule the crew to come back to the site after a fabricate the spacers. I'm hoping that doesn't cost me any more than a day or two in time as the weather here in Northeast Tennessee has This project weeks behind schedule. Other than that they are fantastic. Thanks,, Bob Rynes **** Additional comments after reading Timber plates response to the above. ***** I'm going to go with there suggestion of redrilling the holes to 5/8". That direction will have the least impact on the schedule. I do have access to a magdrill so it's no big deal. I most likely will be a repeat customer to Timberplates.com. They did reply to me both in a timely, and in a professional manner. Thanks, Bob R.

Sorry about that Bob, it got lost in the shuffle! I wish you would have given us a chance to make it right, but I see you are already weeks behind so I can understand why you wouldn't. At any rate, your holes are still within AISC spec for oversized steel bolt holes so you don't really need to mess with the bushings. A 1/16" bushing isn't going to do anything about the strength of the connection anyway. If I was you I would just go with your 1/2" bolts or, if you are still concerned about the strength of the connection, you might consider moving to 5/8" bolts. Again, sorry about the mixup and good luck on the project.
