Some companies do not want you to ever talk to a human! It's crazy. Not so with Timberline. I just got off the phone with Jana , an extremely nice ,helpful, and professional business person!!! That has always been my experience with the Timberline,GCS company. If I were in the positions to recommend a company to a friend or family member, You guys are it ! I have been advised by and working with Demi McCarthy for months with Timberline Financial. Demi has been much more than just "helpful to me" during what is a most difficult time in my life. I have received top notch professional counseling from Demi McCarthy, but I have had personal, heart felt conversations with Demi that has "kept me upbeat" throughout a tough time these past several months. Of course the "professional help" was what I needed and came to Timberline Financial to receive. The "personal extras" that Demi's kind heart and friendship has given to me that has been invaluable to me!

The young man who helped me on 8/14/18 was so very helpful. He answered all of my questions and found a solution to my issue. When I called about this issue a time before, I did not get the same help. All of your representatives are polite, positive and enthusiastic - it's just the guy who helped me on 8/14/18 went the extra mile. I thank him.

We entered into the Debt Consolidation Program 5 months ago and to date Timberline has not contacted a single debtor- but HAS taken the monthly monies it requires (to date approx. 6-7K). On July 24th 2018, I even wrote the company on its contact and a personal email- to date 8/13/18,, no response. I'm currently in Afghanistan- and going on 6 months with no contact with the company or our Rep- Greg King. Below is my Correspondence- Greetings from Kabul Afghanistan. I'm writing in regards to the absolute inactivity of my family's' Debt Consolidation Program. Myself and my wife entered into contract with Timberline Financial over 4 months ago. Our Representative is Greg King. I need you to understand the seriousness that this program has placed my family's financial security in,,, it has been 4 months since inception- and not a single payment to any creditor has been made. Upon calling them they have indicated that NO ONE from TImberline Financial has contacted them - much less presented any form of POA to further negotiation of debt. Both my wife and myself have attempted to contact Greg King via phone or email,, with one exception where he stated he would email my wife he has made no successful attempts. I have paid into the program for the last 4 months (plus additional monies) - but to date have received no indications that Timberline is doing anything except taking my money and allowing me to go further into debt. As we were advised to NOT pay anything further until Timberline negotiated with all parties. I have tried calling your main number today approx. 9:30 to 10:00 am from here in Afghanistan,, as I was waiting longer than 30 minutes the call dropped repeatedly. I tried to call Greg Kings number 4 times this a.m.- all to no avail. May I ask for someone to either email me or - please directly call my wife - Laura Huddleston at XXXXXX. My experience with Timberline Financial has been excellent. My connection with the company has been primarily through Haley Stephens who has been open, hones, caring, and knowledgeable about anything that is of concern to me. I highly recommend this company!!

I can NEVER get an honest answer from the "customer service" reps when I call. I can never speak with the person who is supposed to be actually assigned to my accounts. This entire process has been very misleading and I have no idea what I'm paying for. My account is debited every month on a regular basis and my funds are just sitting collecting interest for the company I'm sure.

Let me start by saying that my overall experience with Timberline has been positive. Customer service is responsive and they are generally clear on what you should expect with debt restructuring. That said, let me try to explain how it works based on what I've experienced. Essentially, you stop paying your creditors; instead you pay into a fund that Timberline manages for you. They wait until the account(s) are put into "charge-off" status, which means that the creditor designates your debt as one that they likely can't recover. At that point, Timberline then works with the creditor to settle the debt. The good: you will likely pay less than you owe (by as much as 50%). The bad: your credit score gets clobbered, and you run a risk that a creditor will take other actions to collect (up to and including filing a lawsuit - which happened to me). Timberline and their subsidiaries do provide legal assistance for this, but seeing your name and "lawsuit" is stressful no matter how you slice it. In retrospect, I probably should have asked more questions, and I probably should have gone a more traditional debt management route. In addition to the stress that comes with hoping that your creditors will settle, the other challenge is that you have a long haul to get your credit score back to a reasonable level (and you're on your own for that). Again, this is not necessarily a knock on Timberline, but rather a chance to help others make a fully informed decision. As a self-proclaimed control freak, a lot of this process is outside my control due to how the system works. Make sure you know what you're getting into and are willing to accept the risks and challenges.

Timberline Financial is doing a great job in negotiating and settlement of our accounts. The entire Staff/Support personnel are all friendly, professional, well-trained and accommodating to clients.
