After not accessing my account for a year i discovered that there was some unusual activity. someone had been playing around with the app. Uploading contact, creating schedules but didnt get any bookings. Obviously it was hacked and my first move was to try and change the password but that didnt work. I sent support an email and that wasn't replied to. The website obviously has inadequate security, maybe 2FA would be the best upgrade. There is inadequate maintanece if a simple function as changing password is not working. I can't delete any of the hacker uploaded contacts or set booking types. My old booking types are not accessible and i cant add any new booking types. Now It's basically not working anyone. Support is now going ignored. Yet they have the audacity to try and upsell me other features.

Until a couple of weeks ago, I would have given Tidycal 10 stars if I could. Unfortunately, after the recent changes—terrible ones—I’m afraid they don’t deserve more than two stars. I’m only giving two because their price is extremely competitive. I’ve been using the platform for a couple of years or so and never had any issues—none at all. Now, none of my students’ names appear on my Google Calendar; instead, every booking shows up as “Your booking is confirmed.” They claim this is Google's fault, but it isn't, as I'm using it with other platforms, and the calendar works perfectly. On top of that, the new interface is not user-friendly at all. It took both my students and me a long time to figure out where to find basic information. I honestly don’t understand why they changed things that were working perfectly fine. There isn’t a single aspect of the new version that I like. They no longer provide explanations of their features, and overall, the new platform is simply horrible.

Buggy and no update on when it will be fixed, causing higher lost-attendance ratios in demo calls. The invite for an event gets sent, but without an organizer (contact person from our company) so they have no one to reach out to before the call or ask questions to after the call. In order for me to send a follow up email, considering the email isn't in the event invite anymore, I have to go through my emails and find the specific email for this booking to find the information required. Additional steps that never happened before and internally they've shared they don't know when this will be fixed (not a priority) - I don't understand how a basic necessary function of a calendar invitation scheduler is not a priority and hasn't been fixed for months.

Very affordable calendar / scheduler. In our current world pushing a subscription on EVERYTHING (rent your phone, your chair, your desk, your toothbrush, your calendar app monthly) - I only jest slightly, it is very refreshing to have an app you buy. We go out of our way to look for purchased apps and definitely appreciate them. REALLY like that it works cross-platform. Nice 2-way sync with apple icloud calendar (and many alternatives we looked at did. not) Highly appreciate the detailed appointment notifications which can be very customized in terms of timing (e.g., send out reminder 3 days before, 1 day before, 4 hrs before, or whatever). Even better, reminders can be customized by TYPE of appointment (something our prettier scheduling software couldn't do) Some minor quirks, the UI isn't quite as attractive /user friendly as others but nothing major there. An issue that could cause some businesses to look elsewhere is that the confirmation booking notifications (appointment reminders) come from a tidycal domain and have a tidycal logo. That is a problem when one wants your customers (who booked with you) to have YOUR logo and branding up front & center. (The online booking page thankfully doesn't suffer from this problem though. If TidyCal could offer a little better branding on the notifications we'd bump the rating (we wouldn't mind an unobtrusive "powered by tidycal" or something at the bottom of the booking confirmations, just let our logo and name be the one our customer sees first)

I knew there HAD to be a caveat. TidyCal just randomly decided to stop working properly. Someone booked a discovery call with me today and I got no email or calendar invite. I don't think they have either. (I did some test bookings and got no emails on either end) I only found out about this thanks to my separate link tracking software. When I went into TidyCal's notifications tab, the event did show up. But no event was actually created. Now I think their servers are down completely (Error 500 showing up everywhere), so I can't even check the e-mail of the guy who booked the call. This hasn't been resolved yet. To be fair, this might be a one-time thing. However, I'm not willing to risk this ever happening in the future. Could be costing me my credibility, and potential thousands of dollars in sales calls I could've converted. Yeah. Feels unreliable. I'm going back to Calendly.
