I wanted to book at a specific hotel. They reached out and got my request granted. But if you book regularly at the hotel breakfast was included rep has told me no Double Tree offered that. Yet same hotel had last year. Then the price they got for my group was higher then cost to book it myself as well. So some good and some bad.

Our team booked our “Stay to Play” required rooms and it was easy BUT a roughly a week prior to the stay we got an email cancelling all our rooms due to over booking. We booked months in advance!! The whole team panicked. Fortunately there was a later email booking us into another hotel. Would have been nice to have an email upfront stating what they were doing. Hotel we ended up at was semi comparable to the original booking, thankfully.

The website is easy to use to book your hotel reservation. If THS is negotiating rates with the hotels, all fees should be verified and shown on the website. I booked a hotel and a small fee was listed for incidentals. I received received an email ,directly from the hotel, a week before my arrival stating a $50 a night incidental fee. That was alot for the hotel stay plus the high cost of the room.

Booking hotels in a group block is so stressful. I would recommend that the hotels that are fully booked don’t put them as an option. By the time you scroll through and check it’s frustrating to have to go back and go hotel by hotel. Or send out an updated list of availability before regular booking opens. Love it when we get to pre book.

When booking opens and you rush to choose a hotel, it gives you a countdown to hold the room, and then when you submit it, it says your room is no longer available. That happens very often, at least 1-2x every time I’ve used it.

I would recommend adding a filter to search for hotels that still have availability for an event. I would also recommend having each party display when they are sold out/waitlist only up front. I searched for some properties and only discovered after I clicked into their listing that dates weren’t available.
