I ordered a 'Lift Kit Smart 451' on 29th November 2024. AFTER I had paid for it I received a message to say it was currently out of stock and it would be delivered in 12 weeks time...... It wasn't ! I contacted Throtl and after I had explained the issue I had a assortment of replies, several, just hung up on me, several, said they would 'raise a ticket' for it, but didn't. In 2025, a few said my order did'nt exist because Throtl had been sold to new owners and I wasn't on 'The System'. Eventually I got an email saying it would be 12 weeks again. Some (many) months past and I was still getting similar replies. Then I saw an ad from the 'Little Big Supply' crew and the penny dropped that it was never going to arrive to me in the UK. In November 2025 (That's right folks, A FULL YEAR LATER) I cancelled my order and got a refund. 'Little Big' supplied it from USA to UK in less than 2 weeks. THROTL supplied nothing accept the worst Customer Service I have ever received.

The tail lights I ordered were possibly wired up wrong as they did not light up at all after being plugged in to the vehicle. Plugged the stock lights back in and they lit up with zero issue.

This is on sale for about $100 less every where else only saw it once I had completed my order. Product is good otherwise just felt swindled after the fact.

I purchased two rear CV axles for my 2007 Mazda 6, a left and a right. When my shop attempted to install them, they found that one would not clear the sway bar bracket and had to be removed. I came to find out from the manufacturer, Drive Shaft Shop, that the installation of this part requires the OEM sway bar brackets to be removed and replaced with some sort of aftermarket option of smaller dimensions. Throtl.com neglected to mention this essential fact on their webpage for the product, and at the time of this writing, they still have not corrected this error. After sourcing and installing suitable sway bar brackets, my shop again tried to install the axles, but discovered that the left side axle would not fit, being about 2” longer than it should have been. It turns out that throtl.com sent me two right-hand axles, instead of a right and a left as was ordered. The axles themselves were not labeled, so there was no way to know that the box contained an incorrect part prior to attempting the installation. Once again, the installation had to be aborted until the correct part was shipped. Since the shop doesn’t work for nothing, they charged me another hour of labor. As a direct result of the carelessness, incompetence, and overall negligence of this organization, I have suffered the cost of not one but two aborted installations, for which I was required to pay two hours of shop labor. I would never have purchased from this company if I had known better.

We spent over $3,000 on parts from Throtl for older vehicle parts. After finally acquiring the rest of the necessary parts from other vendors, we took everything to our mechanic for installation. Unfortunately, both the front and rear Whiteline sway bars—purchased through Throtl—did not fit our vehicle, despite being listed as compatible on their website. We contacted Throtl to request a refund due to this fitment issue. The representative said they would look into it. Meanwhile, we replaced the sway bars with an Eibach front and a Nolathane rear, both of which fit perfectly. When picking up the Nolathane bar directly from Zeder (the parent company of Whiteline), their representative told us they had not received any communication from Throtl. He also said that given the fitment issue, a refund would not be unreasonable—but that it would need to be processed through Throtl. We shared this information and the Zeder representative’s contact details with Throtl. Instead of reaching out or facilitating a simple resolution, Throtl sent a curt response denying the refund, citing missing packaging, the passage of time, and product condition—even though the issue was caused by their incorrect fitment listing. What’s especially frustrating is that Throtl wouldn’t lose a penny by helping us. Zeder has no issue with the packaging and is willing to process a refund. Throtl would be reimbursed and all it would take is a brief conversation to get things started. But instead of spending five minutes to assist a loyal customer, they chose to hide behind policy. That’s not customer service—it’s customer deflection. If the parts had not been listed as compatible, I never would have bought them. Because of Throtl’s misleading fitment information and refusal to stand behind what they sell, I’m now left with $600 worth of unusable parts. Throtl appears to prioritize rigid policy over doing what’s right, even when the solution is easy and cost-free to them. I recommend shopping elsewhere—at a place that values its customers and stands by its service.
