ThinkNeuro Review
My time as a ThinkNeuro intern taught me very useful skills in researching as well as creating a research poster. Through the two sessions I did with ThinkNeuro I found and connected with a lot of wonderful people while learning useful skills that will benefit me in the future. Overall, I think ThinkNeuro is a great opportunity for those who are interested and passionate in neuroscience research and need a place to get started! During my internships with ThinkNeuro I was working with Lana Isabel Abad for the fall session and Isabella Pei for the spring session. Both of these associates were amazing in guiding me and our team to building a successful research poster as well as helping with any struggles we had along the way. As a highschool student I can also see the skills I learned during this internship to be used during my time in college as we learned necessary techniques like R-programming and poster designing which can be used towards further research in my career going onwards. I also believe the most impactful part of this internship would be learning R-programming as this will be a key component of what I want to do in my career in the future. Finally, even though I won’t be joining ThinkNeuro for another internship as I am going to college next year, this experience has been more than what I thought it would be when I joined and is a great experience for anyone who is interested in doing research in this pathway.
