The vets doctors themselves were…competent and professional
The vets doctors themselves were professional and seemed to know what they're doing but the company itself seems like a shady fly-by night outfit... I signed up for the Total Wellness plan and tried to cancel but they keep charging me. I've tried to escalate to a dead end... I'm looking into legal option DO NOT USE

False Advertisement- $99 visit was $216.00
The staff and vet were very kind and considerate, which I appreciated. However, the actual exam didn’t feel very thorough. Despite having two people in the room, they didn’t use any tools to properly check my dog’s ears—just a quick glance and a flop. For a wellness visit, I expected more attention to detail.
My dog is on a raw diet, and instead of asking questions or being open to my choice, they spent a good chunk of the visit pushing kibble. I've taken nutrition courses, including one on how kibble is made, and it’s clear there are better options for some dogs. I wish they were more informed on this topic.
Here’s where it really went downhill: I had a $100 coupon, which was supposed to bring the $199 visit down to $99. Instead, I was charged $216, and the discount wasn’t honored as advertised. Then I was told I’d have to pay $700 for vaccines unless I enrolled in their monthly plan at $109/month. That plan would include the vaccines, but it felt like a pressured upsell rather than a choice.
If you’re okay with your 6-pound dog being recommended multiple meds at once and prefer a cookie-cutter approach to pet care, this place may work for you. But if you value transparency, a more holistic approach, and fair pricing,

We are an existing Bettervet customer
We are an existing Bettervet customer. The vets bought Bettervet, and we no longer have service/a vet. How did we find out? Unable to book online. No response to email. But calling in, "We don't support your area anymore."
Acquire business, check, acquire customers, check, alienate existing customer base, check, plus.

Lots of effort to be cancelled on at the last minute.
I am a new customer and was looking forward to trying them out. I chose The Vets because both of my cats are anxious, one especially, and bringing them anywhere is tough. In advance I spent at least an hour or more scanning vet paperwork to their team and answering questionnaires, only to be asked twice for “additional information” I had already submitted. They texted daily reminding me over and over of my appointment. Finally the day comes and I wake up early to give my cats Gabapentin so they can be examined, an unpleasant ritual for everyone with fuss and vomiting. I cleaned my apartment and spent all day preparing / stressing for the visit in various ways. Then 30 minutes past the expected arrival time, I get a robo-text that they aren’t coming and a link to reschedule. Not even a phone call or personalized follow up. I will not be rescheduling or recommending their service.
