I never read any of these reviews before I ordered my shades and drapes from the Shade Store in Santa Barbara. Sonya Peterson from the Santa Monica office assisted us. She was very very knowledgeable and informative. She talked us out of a higher priced fabric that she said would not be satisfactory for our needs. She did rendering of what our windows would look like with our selections in addition to offering lots of suggestions. Sonya is very experienced and we truly appreciated her expertise. She suggested specific installers Alec and Marco who were excellent and spent at least 6 hrs including steaming our linen drapes. They did not leave until they knew we were satisfied. Today we had a service call because one of the panels stretched more than all the others. AymenChraabi came to see whether adjustments could be made before deciding if we needed a remake. Aymen spent 4 hrs making adjustments and again steaming. He had another service appointment after he had been with us for only one hour. He would not leave until he knew we were satisfied clients. He took extremely good care of us. He knew the meaning and of great customer service. We have only good things to say about the Shade Store and we want people to know that the LA/Santa Barbara area Shade Store took extremely good care of us. Make sure you get an extremely knowledgeable sales associate, that is the most important step. Maybe we are just super lucky that the whole team in this area has many years of experience and know how. Margaret and Michael

We had an outstanding experience with The Shade Store in Portland from start to finish. Natalie Byrd, the manager, was incredibly helpful and patient throughout the entire process — she took the time to walk us through all our options, answered every question, and made sure we felt confident about our choices before moving forward. Her product knowledge and genuine care for customer satisfaction really set the tone for the whole experience. When it came time for installation, Ben and Jason did a phenomenal job. They were punctual, professional, and clearly took pride in their work. Every measurement was precise, the installation was clean, and they made sure everything operated perfectly before they left. They were also great about answering our questions and giving us tips on care and use. From the initial consultation with Natalie to the final installation with Ben and Jason, this team exceeded our expectations at every step. The quality of the product combined with this level of service is hard to find these days. Highly recommend The Shade Store in Portland to anyone looking for beautiful, well-installed window treatments!

Israel Range was our installer, and he was exceptional from start to finish. He arrived on time, was friendly, polite, and clearly very knowledgeable. He worked hard and stayed extremely organized and efficient throughout the entire process. The installation went smoothly and the results were outstanding. We couldn’t be happier — 5 stars for sure.

I live in West Los Angeles, and I can't speak highly enough about Michelle who came out to give me a quote for my blinds. You won't regret meeting her. She was very helpful.

I’m not sure why people aren’t satisfied with this place but I had a great experience with Janet from the Boca Raton, Florida location. Very professional, very helpful, and very accommodating. They are also very quick at responding to any questions I might have so I highly recommend.

We had a fantastic experience purchasing our new roller shades from Lisa Smith at The Shade Store in Newport Beach. The store is well-stocked with a great selection, making it easy to find the perfect fit for our home. Lisa was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and low-key—no pressure, just great advice. She sent us home with plenty of samples to try, ensuring we made the right choice. The entire process from selection to purchase, was seamless, and the installation flawless. We couldn’t be happier with the result and are now customers for live.

I ordered the motorized solar shades. The shades are exactly what I needed and the process was without hassle. Erica at the Roslyn location was excellent! She knew the products and helped pick out the right fabric for my windows and decor. The measurement was done properly, the shades arrived quickly, and the installers were on time and professional. They removed their shoes to protect my floors, meticulously installed the blinds and set up the remote AND the ShadeStore App that enables control of shades with my phone. The shades look great and the motorized feature works perfectly. The timer function adjusts the shades throughout the day as NW windows get the afternoon sun. Great product & great service. Absolutely No complaints !

I went to the shade store for my renovation because I was told I would have a "higher end" experience with product and service than other much less expensive brands like 3 Day Blinds, etc. Had a very poor experience- incorrect measurements, communication that was lacking - product that was delivered and installed was NOT what was promised Once I contacted the Corp office -the leadership honored their “mission” of customer satisfaction and genuinely followed through in correcting errors and helping to right the wrongs- Jorge is amazing and is going above and beyond. I had 28 windows to start, and while I would not suggest the continuous chain or tension mechanism- aesthetically or for utility- the way that management turned the situation around has made me a fan. I am using the company for my additional windows and slider and will continue to work with them! Thank you for turning around what was a horrible, stressful experience that impacted my move into a situation ending in appreciation!
