On January 23, 2026 I ordered a Thermomate Tankless Electric On Demand Instant Hot Water Heater - 240V | 8kW for about $200 to heat the water for a small kitchenette and a powder room. We received it several days later. As our construction project, like all projects, was unpredictable, we couldn't install the model until a little over 30 days after receiving it. The model, which indicates it should be able to reliably heat the water for two faucets, could not heat the water for even one faucet above luke warm and then only if we turned the water pressure way down on the hot water supply line. When I called Thermomate to return the unit, they refused to take it since it was a few days past the 30 return period. Alternatively, I ordered a 40 gal water tank for $400 which works very well. But now I have a useless on demand water heater that I paid $200 for. Next time I'll buy from Home Depot or Lowes or another supplier that has a reasonable return policy of 90 days or so.

The worst product and customer service. They don't answer on my mails

I bought & installed a gas convection wall oven last fall during a kitchen remodeling. After 5 months, I had a problem lighting the pilot & keeping it lit during baking, when it would prematurely shut off. After contacting customer service, reporting the problem and submitting necessary paperwork, I received a new oven replacement today. I found Anna (service rep) handled my claim efficiently and was knowledgeable. I appreciate how fast the problem was resolved. Thanks Anna!

The oven was a affordable, cute, more analog than most so less to break down. You can take the cooking chamber out of it to wash! It's the nicest stove I've ever owned. Works incredibly well. It was packed beautifully with lots of wood around it. It came in three days after ordering!

trhermomate customer service is poor. purchased a unit had it arrive plumber unboxed the unit only to find out the unit needs a stainless steel sleeve for venting. Incompatible with the PVC vent on current unit. contacted Thermomate and provided all details needed to receive a return authorization number. Theremomate replied I have to pay to ship the unit back to them and pay a 20% restocking charge. I then filed a dispute with my Credit Card indicating they RECOMMENDED the sleeve NOT THAT IT WAS REQUIRED! and that it took both a plumber and an HVAC installer to install the unit. Then when I said I would file a dispute the customer service people indicated couldn't return the unit at all. Blackmail I guess when you use a D+ rated company from the BBB this is the treatment you get

The worst product and customer service.

Thermomate will not honor their warranty. Do not buy from them. They also lie to you in their correspondence. We have a brand new Thermomate wall oven that does not work right out of the box. My family bought it for me as a gift, they bought it online. It arrived sealed in original carton, foam and plastic. But once we got it connected to electricity we discovered that the touch control panel was defective. We contacted Thermomate and were told to send copy of receipt, video of non-working condition, and we'd be able to get a replacement. NOT TRUE. We sent what they asked for plus a photo of the box. Because my family bought it on ebay they say they will not replace it. They said they only sell on Amazon and won't honor warranty if bought anywhere else. But I caught them in their lies - they sell to Home Depot, HD, Bed Bath & Beyond and other retailers. They should honor the warranty on ANY product new out of the box. Their website doesn't say they limit their warranty coverage to only authorized retailers and they don't list the places they will honor warranty for.

They sent me a tankless zero10 propane water heater I installed it on an outside wall. The hot water outlet valve was bent to 45 degrees. It hasn't fired even after removing the cover. There is no communicating with this company so far- thru email or calls. I am hoping they will send a tech out to get it going
