TherapyNotes has not handled the situation with Change Healthcare in a way that makes business sustainable for providers. They have waited to change clearinghouses when other EHR’s have been able to do it all due to their ancient coding and inability to pivot as every other EHR in the country did in days or just a week or so following the attack. When voicing our opinion about how they continue to charge us our monthly fees while not providing the service we need and signed up for they refuse to take ownership of the issue and are trying to silence us from voicing our opinions on the matter. I have been blocked from their facebook group for bringing attention to the issue. They continue to make promises that they are working on the inability to file claims through their platform yet there is no solutions. Other software platforms are doing it and have been. This business is doing just fine taking our money while we individual providers continue to struggle. They cannot be trusted.

Horrible/poor response to cyber attack on billing issues. Therapy notes should be ashamed of themselves.I would never tevommemd there platform,

I couldn't remember my password, so I went online and filled out the password email reset option on the website. I then got an email that said I needed to call live support instead. I called and was on hold for over 10 minutes, only to be told they couldn't help me reset my password (only a provider can do this). They know the email that tells you to call to reset your password exists and creates confusion, but apparently, they can't be bothered to fix it. This is unconscionable for a company that is serving clients seeking mental health support. DO BETTER.

Therapy Notes is great but Card Pointe, their payment processing company, is absolutely horrible and ultimately, made it impossible for me to use Therapy Notes for my business. If you plan on processing payments through Therapy Notes, I wouldn't waste your time even applying. They rejected me three times without any valid or clear explanation and Therapy Notes is so disconnected from their provider, they were no help at all.

Formerly a great company that was responsive to my tech support needs, Therapy Notes has deteriorated. I just called tech support and got message that no one was available and I was out of luck. They seem to have moved to wanting only online email support communications, but when I tried that, I got email back saying it didn't seem to them that I was olocked out of my program (which I am) and no way to discuss this. I am now looking for another platform and recommend that you do not sign up for Therapy Notes. Its a shame. They were pretty good in the past.

TherapyNotes does not provide good solutions to issues. Not being able to remove an authorization without having your counselor redo their notes is insane. Asking a counselor to redo 30 notes is not a solution. 6 months with TherapyNotes and no updates recommended have been implemented. The longer you are in TherapyNotes the more you realize it is a product for a very small operation. This product does not support any big practices without having extensive work arounds and having to manage spreadsheets outside of the system. In theory, the EMR system should help with this, but it does not. They promise great support, but don't provide any solutions.

After the honeymoon phase with therapy notes....the claim process is beautiful...but then you get paid. Sigh. I am an out-of-network provider, so I cannot speak for those in the network with insurance companies. My experience has been an exhausting one. Secondary insurer payments will not mark accounts as paid when Medicare is the primary; causing tedious, redundant, and time wasted constantly correcting numbers, write-offs, and entering patient copays. It's been 5 months and Therapy Notes has cost me paying more overtime to billers than the fee itself. I am looking for software with much more automation. I would advise you to wait 3-4 months to leave a review...the honeymoon phase is indeed wonderful; however, I found the basic accounting and billing functions inadequate and limited at best.

There is no customer service support. They call it “customer success” but they don’t care about your success and they definitely don’t care about the fact that you have patients that you actually do care about! We have been long-term clients and have tried out their telehealth services. We are having problems and have repeatedly contacted them and they make appointments with the doctor in our practice and then they don’t keep them. If you have a problem they blame you. If you make an appointment at their convenience, they do not call on time. If you call them, they do not respond. If you ask to speak to a supervisor, forget it. Their solution to everything is that they don’t need you as a client, so you can leave, at your own expense and time. arrogance is the only word to describe it!
