Used TherapyNotes for years, great product
I have been in private practice since 2019, previously working for someone else and now as owner of my own practice. The first practice I worked for used TherapyNotes, and I found it to be user-friendly, and it had decently reliable telehealth options (which was a big deal when the pandemic hit). When I started my own practice, I reviewed several options, but I ultimately came back to TherapyNotes. Pros: TherapyNotes is very user friendly, and the overall setup doesn't take too many steps. They also have good customer support, and there are several helpful features that I use regularly (submits my billing, offers easy use of outcome measures to help with progress reviews and intakes, appointment reminder emails and texts for clients/patients, reliable telehealth portal, and some others). There are some others that I don't use (e.g., options for clients to manage their schedule with me, a writing assistance tool for documentation, which I used once - was surprisingly good, but I still prefer to write for myself). Perhaps my favorite feature is that it will bring information forward from different forms into notes (e.g., every progress note automatically pulls your treatment goals and interventions from your treatment plan, which makes it very easy to update progress; progress notes also pull any outcome measures you've administered, making progress over time very obvious, which helps when justifying treatment to insurance; intake notes pull information from intake forms, which allow you to use the client's own words and decreases writing time). Cons: Price is on the more expensive side, compared to the broad range of options.
