Inflexible
At this point, it is the most inflexible EHR I have encountered. My previous experiences were with SimplePractice and Carepatron. I am now working with TherapyAppointment because its saving grace is that it allows my biller to make adjustments directly, instead of having to send me messages so that I can make adjustments. Overall, while the colors of the interface look nice and clean, it still requires some searching for functionality and is not as practical and easy-to-use as the other systems. The form builder is not WYSIWYG and very cumbersome to use. The way the note and treatment plan templates are structured is very inflexible. AI integration is still in its infancy, and it is easy to lose transcriptions. It is clear that the system was built by therapists who had their very specific way of working and strongly believed (or still believe) that everyone needs to work exactly the way they like to work. If you work exactly the way the creators of this platform work, you might be fine with it, but take your time to check out both the note and treatment plan templates, as well as forms. Today, I encountered having to get a client's birthdate before being able to even send them a portal invite (after I just had created the entry with their name and email address). These types of inflexibility surprises keep hitting me. The only reason why I am (for now) staying with it is because of my biller workflow. But they are making it not easy. I am hoping for a full reimplementation.
