A big thank you to Steven and Ryan for helping me with the website issues. It was a stressful situation, and I really appreciate their patience, support, and time spent working through the problems. Thank you both for your effort and for being there when I needed help!

This Company stole $16,750 from me
This Company stole $16,750 from me. I had just come up with a business idea that I wanted to bring to life - so I hired Praetors to build my website. I did not receive any product - they will ask for large payments for things that are not real - “$7,500 for security protocols”, “6,000 for Hosting”, “7,000 for Legal Business Website Registration.” Unfortunately I was blinded by excitement of my idea at the beginning and this company took advantage of that. After receiving nothing at the cost of $16,750 (three separate payments over the course of ~21 days), I asked for a refund and they said no despite them telling me one of the substantial payments was refundable. I cut my losses and engaged GoDaddy to build my website and they did it in less than 2 weeks at the cost of $4,000. These guys are criminal and please do not let them fool you. This is not a real company!!!!!

Do not use the Praetors
Do not use the Praetors! I never received the app I paid for. They failed to meet 4 deadlines and never did produce a finished app. I was assigned 3 different developer teams. Every 3 months or so they requested more money features that were included in the original price I was given. I now am out thousands of dollars and still have no app after over a year. Do not use this company.

The Praetors are Predators
I hired The Praetors in March 2025 to develop my mobile application. The project was quoted at approximately 9–10 months with regular progress updates. During development I paid approximately $29,566, including an additional $10,000 after being told it was necessary to implement the precise geolocation functionality my app required.
Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.
Throughout the project there were repeated missed deadlines, multiple project manager changes, inconsistent communication, and long periods without the promised weekly updates. After waiting more than a year, I still did not receive a completed application that met the agreed specifications.
Near the end of the project I was informed that additional third-party APIs and SDKs costing over $6,000 would be required to achieve the location accuracy that I believed had already been included in the work I had paid for. This was especially frustrating because I had already paid an additional $10,000 specifically for enhanced geolocation functionality.
After obtaining an independent review of the source code, I was advised that the project contained significant deficiencies and would require substantial additional work before it could be considered production ready.
As a result, I have had to seek legal remedies to recover my investment.
This review reflects my personal experience as a customer. I encourage anyone considering hiring this company to carefully define every deliverable in writing, keep detailed records of all communications, and obtain independent technical reviews before making additional payments.

I have had serious problems with ‘The…
I have had serious problems with ‘The Praetors’ from the very beginning of my project. I contracted with them to build a mobile app back in September 2025. We had a standard ‘milestone’ contract where payment installments were due after each portion was completed. They estimated the project would be complete in 3-4 months. Almost right away they started requesting additional money for things that were already supposed to be included in the app as originally discussed. First it was an extra $2000 to use their sever, then an additional $3,000 to integrate AI into the app. They explained that without AI, I wouldn’t get notifications (the entire purpose of the app they were developing for me was to get notifications sent to my phone). I was extremely frustrated and pushed back and demanded explanations as to why they were changing what was initially agreed upon but it was excuse and excuse, none of which made sense. Being new to app development I was stupid I wanted the app completed and I paid the extra they asked. I was told in October that the app was complete and that they’d reach out in a few days for a tutorial. At this point I was completely ghosted. In December I disputed the charges with my credit card company and received my money back. When they realized my money was returned and no longer in their account I was contacted by a supervisor named “Steven” who calmed the situation and explained my project manager dropped the ball and that he’d personally finish my app. I found out later that he basically had to start from scratch which leads me to think they paid my first project manager for nothing and had to re-do everything that was done before (if anything was ever done at all). I agreed to submit payment again as I felt comfortable getting a new project manager assigned.
For a couple months progress was actually made, but Steven didn’t really seem to be aware of what all my app was supposed to do and I constantly had to remind him. He’d mention updates to the app that he was working on which made no sense as to what we originally discussed, features and functions that would serve no purpose. When I would remind him of what we were supposed to be developing the app for he’d say “ok, nobody told me that.” This required him to go back and fix things / make the appropriate changes to fit the original agreement. After months of work and headaches, he sent me a test version that was relatively close to what we initially agreed on, but one very very important feature was missing that made the app financially feasible to create. I explained to him that without this last piece added the app doesn’t do me any good. He told me he’d finish it up and get back to me in a few days.
I received an email from him telling me it’s all finished but the “changes” I requested cost an additional $16,000.
The initial agreed upon price of this app was just under $10,000. They increased this to $14,100 in the first weeks by using “play on words” excuses and explanations. Now, if I want the completed version of the app it’ll be a total of $30,100.
I’m now out $14,100 and no app to show for it.

They finished my website and are still…
They finished my website and are still helping me with fixing some of the issues with the website even after full payment has been made and not leaving me high and dry.

Holding Companies Accountable
Holding Companies Accountable – A Small Business Owner’s Experience
I’m sharing this based on facts and my direct experience.
In 2025, as a small business owner, I invested over $9,000 with a New York–based company, The Praetors LLC, to develop a mobile wellness booking app for my business, i-thriv: Wellness, Anywhere. The timeline was quoted at 8 weeks.
It turned into 5+ months—with no functional app delivered.
What I received: • Figma designs
• APK test files
• Ongoing promises
What I did NOT receive: • A live app (App Store or Google Play)
• Working payment integration
• Backend/admin access
• Source code
Throughout the process, I experienced: • Repeated delays
• Requests for additional money that didn’t match progress
• Conversations that went in circles
• Communication through “faceless” video calls with little transparency
• Shifting explanations and narratives
I gave grace. I extended timelines. I allowed opportunities to fix things.
But accountability never came.
After terminating the agreement, I pursued legal action. The company failed to appear at two court dates.
Since then: • No response to emails
• No resolution
• No refund
This directly impacted my business and delayed my app launch.
This isn’t about emotion—it’s about facts, accountability, and protecting small business owners.
If you’re building a business: ✔ Get everything in writing
✔ Tie payments to milestones
✔ Watch for early red flags
✔ Trust your instincts
I’m sharing this because I can’t be the only one who has experienced this.
If you’ve had a similar experience, I’d like to connect.
If any consumer protection reporters or investigative journalists are interested, I have full documentation and am open to sharing.

Replying back to your comment:
I’ve been trying to work with you, but there has been no real follow-through or resolution on your end.
Let’s be clear—nothing meaningful has been done to help resolve this situation or issue my refund. Repeating that this is “under legal review” without action does not change the facts and its NOT UNDER LEGAL REVIEW, MY COURT CASE IN CALIFORNIA WAS DISMISSED WITHOUT PREJUDICE BECAUSE YOU GUYS NEVER SHOWED UP.
The facts are:
The project was not delivered as agreed
I requested work to stop and asked for a refund AND you still worked on the project like I never said anything and gave court papers.
Work continued without my authorization
No usable product was delivered
No refund has been issued
Saying this is my “second review” doesn’t change the situation—it reflects that the issue still hasn’t been resolved. I made alot of reviews explaining my experience with your company.
As for legal action, I have already begun pursuing formal channels and will continue to go through every appropriate avenue necessary until this is resolved. That includes consumer protection agencies, regulatory complaints, and any legal remedies available to me.
Publicly sharing my experience is not a “pattern”—it’s transparency.
If you’re truly open to resolution, then take action and issue the refund. Until then, I will continue to pursue this through every proper channel available.

Thank you for your review, Danielle.
We would like to address this matter clearly.
This is now your second public review regarding the same project, and as previously communicated, your case is currently under review with our legal team. We strongly encourage you to continue this discussion through the appropriate legal and contractual channels rather than posting repeated public statements.
You had earlier indicated intent to pursue legal action. However, based on our understanding, this did not proceed further. We remain fully prepared to address all matters through proper legal processes, where facts, documentation, and agreements can be reviewed objectively.
At this point, we must also note that repeatedly posting similar claims publicly, while the matter is under review, creates a pattern that does not contribute toward resolution. If you wish to move forward constructively, our legal team is available to engage and work toward a mutual understanding.
Regarding your claims:
All project terms, deliverables, and timelines are governed by the signed agreement
Any involvement of third-party services is clearly outlined in our Terms & Conditions as non-refundable
Additional services outside the original scope are billed separately, as agreed
We take all client concerns seriously, but they must be addressed within the framework of the agreement and applicable policies.
We remain open to resolving this matter through the appropriate channels. Please direct further communication to our legal team so we can proceed professionally.
