After being in the Facebook group and having my first born develop plagiocephaly I was of course extremely concerned about my second doing the same. In the Facebook group many asked about using the noggin for preventative means. Unfortunately this has resulted in my daughter developing flat head where she didn’t have it to start and slight plagio as well. When messaged I was told it was my error and caused by what I was doing with my baby. If this was my first born I would have considered this but this was not and when awake my baby was never on her back either tummy time or in carrier ensuring neck movement. I had her in physio from 2 weeks to ensure neck movement. The only time she was on her back was in the perfect noggin. I followed all instructions and now am devastated. It may work for babies with flatness or just be lucky that it did work. I say this as when I tried to post a request for help in the Facebook group it was denied. I have spoken with others since in other groups who said their posts were also denied. I am devastated to have fallen for this product and will never forgive myself.

We are sorry that your experience was so vastly different than the majority of Perfect Noggin users. It is difficult to conceive of how any head can flatten when growing in the Perfect Noggin's contoured concave cup because the head shape always follows the contour of the surface against which it is placed. The basis for the PN design is to replace the flat bed, which causes head flattening in infants, wiith a curved surface, which can only promote rounding of the posterior head. Does it work? 5 clinical studies and over 20,000 satisfied customers show that it does. I recall your post in the group and discussed various possibilities of why your outcome is not what you expected- incorrect sizing of the cups, inevitable time out of the PN on flat surfaces (no child can avoid car seats, strollers, etc.). Your post in the FB group was not allowed because we have had a long standing policy not to address customer support questions or comcerns (fit checks, use questions, etc.) in the Facebook group as these should be addressed to our customer support team. That has always been our policy and is applied to everyone equally. I wish I had a good answer for your unusual experience, but it is not a failure of the product or its design. There are far too many outstanding results posted by parents every day for that to be the case.
