THIS PRODUCT IS NOT SAFE
We used the Perfect Noggin to prevent our daughter’s mild plagiocephaly from worsening. At just 4 weeks old, her condition was very mild. After only a few weeks of use, however, her head shape became dramatically worse. She developed severe brachycephaly, and her skull height increased abnormally, resulting in turricephaly. My partner and I followed each and every instruction, and measured her head to fit the cup sizes. We ensured that my daughter spent all naps and every night in the perfect noggin. She was rarely in her car seat and never put in a pram, as we didn't want to risk her developing a flat head. After using this product for a while, like others, I've left messages on the Perfect Noggin Facebook page, just to be dismissed with comments from the page owner "she must have been in her car seat and pram for too long", which is a lie. "The product wouldn't have resulted in that. We've received testimonies from so and so and we have studies to back this" without actually citing any sources, leading me to believe they have no inclination/desire to discuss my frustration of my daughter's appearance. I've decided to seek treatment elsewhere and turned to cranial helmets - four different helmets in total - in an attempt to correct it. While they helped to some extent, her head will never be round, and she will likely always have the increased head height. It's been a devastating experience, it still is. And I take partial responsibility because I trusted the overwhelming positive reviews and social media videos surrounding it. However, as I watched in real time, her head worsened, which forced me to believe this product is dangerous and negligent. I highly discourage this product; it's deceptive and should be removed from the market. It permanently damaged my little girl's head, and I'm reminded of it every day.

While there is no good explanation for your observations, they warrant a few comments. First, your experience is vastly different than most of our customers who report excellent improvements in head shape using Perfect Noggin. While your reported outcome is not what we have come to expect from Perfect Noggin, it is inconceivable that your daughters head shape would have fared better laying on a typical flat infant mattress than on the contoured, rounded surface of the Perfect Noggin. Second, your daughters head shape, regardless of whether there is some flattening or not, is not permanently damaged. Deformational brachycephaly is exceedingly common in adults and never a cosmetic or functional problem. In many parts of the world it is the rule, not the exception. 99% of the worlds population does not have access to any intervention (helmets) for acquired head flattening and, yet, we rarely see adults with head shapes that are unsightly. What is concerning is that you believe the flattening has not resolved after FOUR helmets. I have managed thousands of infants with deformational flattening in my career and never has one required more than two helmets for even the most severe flattening. The fact your child required 4 helmets (the gold standard for shape correction) and the head is still flat raises concern about other possible causes of head flattening. Neither PN nor a helmet will improve craniosynostosis or other conditions that can affect head shape and you may consider seeking professional advice if that is the case. Lastly, your claims that the Perfect Noggin is unsafe or dangerous are complete nonsense. The product has been in existence for over 15 years and has more documented research supporting its effectiveness than any product of its kind. In all this time, and with over 20,000 satisfied customers, there has not been a single reported safety issue. None.
