Hi there, Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that the tutu is difficult to turn on for your child. Although we stand by the safety of the product, we do recommend our tutus always be turned on by parents and are worn under parental supervision. This is to ensure that the kids don't fiddle around with the batteries, simply due to their wiring and the minuscule size. Each battery should last up to 8 hours! I am also very sorry to hear that the lights on your tutu fell out during the first wear. This is certainly not up to our usual standards and expectations!
