I funded with kickstarter like many of you below. Nothing in return, no comments, emails nothing. Over two years. I made my purchase with a CC. So I filed a fraud charge with CC company and received a refund. Let them go after Lampster! I also filed complaints with Kickstarter, so that they were aware of the problems over the past two years with so many of us. And finally I wrote Facebook. . .since they continue to sell via the Lampster Page. . .and sent FB links to this page and encouraged them to interface with kickstarter about it. Maybe Facebook will do the right thing and pull the page so no one else is involved in this scam.

No excuse for the amount of time it has taken to complete and fulfill the kickstarter backers orders. There may be a handful of people who received their lampster but I am not convinced these guys are legit or will EVER follow through. Disappointed is an understatement. And I refuse to back anything on kickstarter ever again.

No communication from this company in regards to orders being shipped. 250$ has not been honored for 3 years now. Reached out them about paying for expedited shipping. They said yes we can do that. I never heard from them again. Been checking with them every 2 months or so. I haven't gotten a single reply from customer service at all. Yet they are still taking orders of new customers. I've heard the end product is great but at this rate I doubt I will ever know.

Same as everyone else on here -- paid them in December 2016. They responded to a few emails. Each time it was "shipping in a few months." Now they stopped responding. Complete scam. I do not see any evidence that these people ever intended to provide me anything in return for my money. UPDATED: So, in response to this post Lampster asked me to contact it by email to check on the status of my order. When I did, it didn't provide any information on the status. All I got back were questions: (1) is this still your address (I responded, then they asked the same question the next day); and (2) are you willing to change the color of your order to receive it faster? When I asked for the actual status of my order I received no response. Likewise, no response to "how much faster" if I change colors? So . . . no information, no status provided. UPDATE 2. Complete silence. These people just don't care. UPDATE 3. See "Mike" post below. He says great customer service. Lampster sold him a lamp that was "in stock" and he received it "within 14 days." Why is Lampster taking money and shipping on new orders, instead of fulfilling orders from people who paid years ago? UPDATE 4. The proof of this scam is right on this page. "Mike" posted that Lampster has lamps in stock, and will sell to people who pay now, while they continue to ignore people who paid years ago. There's a word for that. . . .

Adding my voice to this sorry list of letdowns from the people at The Lampster. It sounds like a great product at first and the reasons for the “delay” seem justifiable but then there’s the waiting. I placed my order in December of 2015. My email correspondence has been far from fruitful. Quite honestly, there is absolutely no excuse for false promises and a complete lack of communicataion. I’ve had better shopping experiences with the pop-up ads on Instagram. The team at the Lampster give Kickstarter a bad name. They give the internet a bad name. Buyer be ware! Do not waste your time with this overpriced product or this uncommunicative company. If I’d received my shipment (which I have not) or any “update” from The Lampster team that did not ask me to keep waiting, spell my name wrong or have excessive exclamation points as if it was me annoying them, then this review would be very different. I genuinely wish it were. Aug. 8, 2018: Adding an update because I’ve recently emailed The Lampster, as per their reply to this posting. I got an automated message and no information about my December 2015 order. Team Lampster, I’d be happy to join “Mister Barron” and give you a glowing review... But I can’t exactly do that without receiving the product that I paid for.

Ordered (#30888) November of last year, was told 2 to 3 months. When that came and went was told "June at the latest". Now that it is July they simply don't return my emails. Incredibly frustrating. *Update* After posting the original message someone finally responded (Coincidence?) The response was "We processing your order. You will get an email before shipping." I of course pointed out that this message means nothing and again asked when my order will be sent. Nothing. After about five more emails I got another email asking to confirm my address. Of course still no actual commitment of a delivery. Do yourself a favor and just bury your money in a hole somewhere rather than giving it to these people.

SCAM! I Backed them as one of the first people, Kickstarter was the reason why they are here today. No answer, nothing after 3 years! Stay away!

Have you been scammed by thelampster.com? Read on I purchased, and paid for a lamp in 2015 (!). I have mailed them numerous times, and im being told the same everytime; WERE CLOSE, just three more months, now this is the problem, now that is the problem. Now, theyre just not answering me, and havent done so for 4 months. Meanwhile, you can go onto thelampster.com and BUY a lampster lamp. I know for a fact that some people have ordered, and gotten theirs from simply buying it online. I also know of some people who have purchased it online from thelampster.com, which have just not gotten it, and theyre now experiencing the same issue i am experiencing. I havent gotten mine, allthough i was one of the initial funders for this. BIG scam, stay away.
