Ordered a Lampster as part of the original Kickstarter campaign. Then a long wait over 4 years with varying intervals between updates on status. Finally, after some renewed efforts, the lamp arrived Nov 2020 in time for Christmas. Having been with us for a couple of months, happy to confirm that it was worth the wait. The lamp is excellent, just as initially proposed, bright and well integrated into the app. Very stable if the body is weighted with some high density filler. Overall a great product - although so much better if it had arrived an awful lot sooner.

Long wait but excellent product (in the end)
Had to wait almost 4 years for this, but it arrived last week and is excellent. Sturdy, well built, looks fantastic! The delays in production and delivery, along with poor communication and long waits for customer service take the edge off this, but make no mistake, the product itself is fantastic.

The Lampster, worth the wait
The Lampster,
A lamp I thought I would never receive, but thanks to the great service of their friendly back office, I did. It’s worth the wait!
As backer #3520 on Kickstarter I supported this project way back. I think it all started in the last quarter of 2015. It was a beautiful autumn day, I was browsing the Kickstarter projects, cause as and entrepreneur I enjoy supporting other entrepreneurs, I saw this beautiful project The Lampster... a second life for headlights of old tractor. Slim, beautifully designed, with modern techniques like Led, remotely controlled and multi (mood) color (and white). It’s even possible to use The Lampster as an disco party light, which responds to music. (Ohw btw it would have been awesome if it would work with Siri, voice controlled).
I would guess you might think 2015? Damn it’s 2020 now. Why did it took so long... will it that so long for me as well? NO, as an new buyer, I would say it wouldn’t. The wait, or even receiving (or not receiving) the product or not, is part of the “risk” in supporting Kickstarter projects. That’s why you receive the product for production cost, or at least a hefty discount.
Now in 2020, while COVID19 has a grasp on the entire world and economy, the men and women of The Lampster, finally did it. I received the products (4 pieces).
To all other backers that are still pending the product, I would say reach out to The Lampster Facebook Messenger. They are quickly in the responses and so what they say.
To all new buyers of The Lampster, don’t hesitate, the product is worth the wait. I would guess that the delivery time would be somewhere between 6 to 8 weeks. But to know for sure, you best can reach out to The Lampster Facebook Messenger.

Totally amazing!!
It's an amazing lamp! My husband and I are super happy with the purchase, it's really worth spending the money. It looks great in our house and our friends and family loved it!! The app has a really cool retro look but they would have to update it to make it not fail often. Thanks for this great product!!!

Lampster arrived well packed and functions well. Good quality not great.
Lampster arrived well packed and functioned well. I was a Kickstarter funder and paid the express shipping to get it. I was willing to do that just to get it since it has been a 5+ year wait.
Lamp does function and is bright. Nice color mixing and shades of white are smooth. RGB functionality is well integrated. App works well, though it is a bit sensitive. Wish it came with a few presets in app color wise (2700K, 3500K, 5000K, Royal Blue, Purple, Crimson Red, Orange, Yellow, etc.) Brass button on top is fidgety but works and functions as described.
Really stylish manual and documentation. A few lost in translation sentences.
Headlight is well made, but definitely not up-cycled from old stock. Plastic body is well made, but still plastic. Head lamp paint is smooth, plastic has a few rough edges / spots. Quality is good, not great.

Amazing Product!
We backed the Kickstarter years ago and waited for the Lampster that never came, as did many people. I finally got in contact with the company and decided to pay the extra shipping (which really wasn't that much). They were prompt to process our order and ship my Lampster, it arrived shortly after. WOW! what an amazing looking and fun lamp, excellent quality, works great and looks amazing in our office. We would highly recommend this lamp to anyone looking for something fun and different...or just loves robots and lamps :)

Great Lamp, needs some additional quality control.
I backed this on Kickstarter. Updates to backers seemed to ceased around fall of 2019. I messaged them in winter of 2018, and was asked to wait patiently for US shipments. Once I got my kickstarter back lamp I was planning on buying more as gifts, but alas I have no lamp. Where are these guys?
Update: The person managing the FB messenger account is responsive. They are now asking for a $40 shipping charge when originally there was no shipping charge. It’s now Q2 of 2020, you don’t think waiting around for 4 years is worth just sending me the lampster as planned without also asking for more money?
Update 2: Finally received my Lampster after paying the additional shipping. The little additional touches to the packaging was great, job well done there. My only complaint outside of the lack of updates to Kickstarter backers on Kickstarter is that the Brass Touch Button is defective. It does not respond to a simple touch. I end up having to use the palm of my hand for it to recognize its being touched. Is there a fix for this?
