Never deal with these guys! It has been four years, the product still undelivered. The “service” is a complete joke: “I am sorry but we cannot give refunds on pledges. If you want to send it to someone else, we can change the shipping address and name on the order, but first you must tell us what lamp to send you instead of Silver. Thank you for your understanding.” Understanding!!!!!????? What a fraud! I’ll never use Kickstarter again, and wish I’d never got suckered by these guys!

If zero stars was an option... My review that only stated facts about this company was removed with generic excuse letter. Trustpilot nor Lampster are very reputable. I reposted my original review on Reddit seeing as Trustpilot or Lampster cannot censor it. A simple search of "Lampster" on Reddit will give all the accuracy in reviewing this company. My experience has been a 4 years and counting wait. I emailed the company a handful of time with 1 response in 2016. I paid a total fee that was charged $149 + $17 for shipping on December 21st, 2015. Now Lampster says they will send the product only if additional fees are paid. At that point from others comments there is still months before/if the product has shipped. The company claims to be located in San Francisco but in reality are in Romania. One of the founding partners quit. "Monthly" progress updates are bi-annual with content no different than before. This is my first time posting a negative review about a company. I'm disappointed in both Lampster and Trustpilot.

Maybe I'm a fool, but I intentionally pre-ordered the Army Green Lampster for $200 from The Lampster's website rather than backing their Kickstarter so that, in theory, they'd receive more money. I did this because I know Kickstarter takes a big cut of the funds, and this looked like an awesome project that I was happy to give a little more money to to make a reality. After a year, they were already past their initial estimated delivery date, and the delays were obvious from their updates they posted on the website. But they still seemed like they were working full steam ahead to finish the project and get everyone what they ordered. I reached out to them on Facebook and was assured they were wrapping up and I'd receive my Lampster soon. After 2 years and still nothing to show for it, they stopped posting updates on the website altogether. They only posted them on Kickstarter, which can only be seen by Kickstarter backers. I wrote them asking them to continue posting the updates to the website, and I got no reply. So all I've had to go on since then have been the people's public on their Kickstarter page. I reached out and asked about individual, expedited shipping because at this point I'd be happy to pay a little more for shipping to get my lamp. I was told it would be $35, but all they had were models with EU plugs. With my toddler running around, I just didn't feel safe using an adapter, so I declined. Now 3 years and some answered and some unanswered emails and Facebook messages later, I still have nothing to show for it. And from what I gather from people's comments on the Kickstarter page, it sounds like Lampster is just about out of money and will no longer be shipping outside of the EU unless users pay for the individual, expedited shipping. And without that, I'm just out of luck. So yeah, maybe I'm a fool for trying to give them more money by buying on their website. Maybe I'm a fool for believing for 3 years that they'd still make good on their continued promises to deliver. Maybe I'm a fool for believing for so long that this was anything other than what it really was: a $200 lesson to never back a startup project.

Still waiting. Is 4 years too long to wait for something that you paid $500 for? I think it is. Updates are scarce and they've forgotten the original backers who helped get them started. I'd just like a refund of I could, why should I pay additional and compromise on what I originally asked for? Very disappointed 👎🏾

These guys are crooks! Nothing but crooks. Not sure how else you can describe them. They take money and never deliver product. They don’t give you a date of when it will be delivered. Expect you to give them more money and wait. Do not buy from these crooks.

Worst experience ever. They still haven’t delivered after more than 3 years (estimated delivery was planned for June 2016). They don’t reply on my latest messages via Kickstarter. They try to get more money from Kickstarter supporters by charging extra delivery costs for a separate shipping option. They don’t offer any other solution like refunds. Very badly managed campaign.

Like many others I was disappointed with the delivery delays and lack of communication. I paid for the express delivery, even though I thought it rude to be asked to pay more money for something that had already been paid for. I believed this was the only way I would see the lamp. Upon delivery the glass lens was broken. I contacted Lampster, sent them a picture as requested and was told a replacement piece of glass would be sent shortly. That was in June 2018. I have sent dozens of messages via Kickstarter, Facebook Messenger and email. They typically respond to one in four messages saying they are sorry for the delay and the glass will be sent soon. I’ve been waiting almost a year now. How can you trust a company that has not been able to send a single piece glass. “Update as requested by Lampster” After much persistence and a negative review (which I believe prompted action) I have received the replacement glass for my lamp. As this whole ordeal took over a year to rectify my original one star rating still stands. Furthermore the offer from Lampster of a 50% discount on a future order.... With the level of customer service I have received there is no possible chance that I would deal with Lampster again. Also the fact that I would be able to place an order for another lamp when you still have not fulfilled thousands of original Kickstarter orders which are now three years overdue is offensive. What would it be? Would you take my money and I would wait years for another lamp until you fulfilled your obligation to your initial backers. Or would you send a lamp straight away and continue to screw over the backers that have supported you from the beginning.
