LampsterReviews of thelampster.com

I am a backer of the Lampster project, which was beautifully marketed but poorly executed. The product looks great, but it's been over 4 years and I've yet to see anything. They generally respond to messages inquiring about project status or information needed, but ultimately the conversations result in the same message; we're working on it. I'm beginning to believe I've donated to Radu & Andrew's excellent adventure and may never seen anything. Based on the number of other supporters left empty handed (including ignored refund requests) this operation is ripe for a lawsuit. Honestly, I hope I still receive my lamp but until that point consider me annoyed and disappointed.

I would give it zero stars if I could. I have been in contact with them many times and they alway say "it's coming ..." but I never get it. Now they won't even tell me "when" it's coming. They are also quite rude. Meanwhile, they are selling this product to others while, I as an original backer (and other original backers), have nothing since 2015.

I am a kickstarter backer from 2015 and have never received anything. Nothing. No communication. Nothing.

It will be 5 years since I have been waiting for my product. I backed this product in 2015 with the understanding that I would have the product in June of 2016. The communication has been poor, when they do actually respond they want more money in order for them to "expedite" the shipping. They claim to have shipped 5400 lamps out of 11700. I am backer number 768, so you would think that I would have received my lamp. I have only seen pictures of maybe two handfull of lamps that have been sent out, with the majority of them dissapointed with the actual outcome. They say they can send out other lamps to us at an extra cost that are NOT the custom lamps that we purchased... What? At this point, I just want my money back or the actual product I purchased. Update on 2-20-20 So even now I get a B.S. Reply from them today here on the comments. I got this reply from them in JULY OF 2019, they are so full of empty promises. Hi Kimo, Thank you for your message and patience with our project. There has been a long and difficult process but we managed to deliver a significant amount of Lampsters and we are still working hard on deliveries. We group ship, therefore we consider colour and region of the order when grouping. The next batch to US and Canada is scheduled for October. Your order is being processed and you will receive a tracking number from UPS once it ships. Ticket # 3502 Kindest regards, Lavinia

Scammed by these people through Indiegogo. Ordered a Lampster for delivery in 2017, have personal emails from them saying "about to ship," multiple times over the years. The latest email from them states that they have to sell the ones in Europe (no wait time), in order to maintain "cash flow." Whatever that means...they have had my cash for years. I recently traveled to Switzerland and saw these in various shop windows, looked them up online and they are available to buy in real time at a much higher price than I paid....but of course I have nothing years later like so many other investors. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. These guys have taken advantage of a community that invested in them in good faith.

Ordered a Lampster in 2016. This company is a fraud, and they lie. I was told a month ago that the colour I ordered (in TWO THOUSAND SIXTEEN) was unavailable and would never be available and that there are no refunds. I changed my order to an available colour. No progress. I am furious and have seen reviews from other backers who say it’s cheap plastic garbage when they finally get it. Lampster has ruined Kickstarter and Indiegogo for me. Fraud. Fraud. Fraud.

Ordered custom order. 4+ years later, nothing. Either incompetent leadership or fraudulent. Either way, 1 star.

We received a unit in which someone had forgotten to machine in threads for the neck piece. That’s a really ridiculous stupid mistake but it’s been over a month that we have been asking for a replacement part and Marielma refuses to allow us to speak to a supervisor or owner and just states she will take a message. Trust me it looks a lot better in pictures than in real life. In real life it’s cheap plastic.
