LampsterReviews of thelampster.com

Only giving one star, because I can’t choose none. I am the 933rd person to back these guys on Kickstarter and pledged $208USD on November 19, 2015. Us backers have been consistently lied to and ignored for almost 4 AND A HALF YEARS! Not sure what people’s experiences are ordering direct from their website, but please bear in mind the vast majority of Kickstarter backers are still waiting on a measly UPDATE promised to us 8 months ago! Never mind our actual lamps we were supposed to get in June of 2016! There are now well over 10,000 comments on their kickstarter backers page... Most of which are all asking the same thing - Where are our lamps, and when will we receive them? One of the excuses given quite some time ago was that the hand painting takes up plenty of time - I offered to take any colour, or lack there of and paint it myself ... Still nothing.

After 4 years on kickstarter, not able to deliver the product paid in full at day 0, in december 2015. Delivery planed on June 2016 ... Lame, really !

Terrible company - no communication waiting 4 years for my delivery and still trying To charge me extra $ for a delivery

I backed this company in 2015 before my kids were born on Kickstarter for a Lampster. I met my obligation and paid for the product and a separate shipping cost to the United States. Now it’s 2020 and the lamp has NOT been delivered and Lampster has NOT met their obligation to fulfill the order. I truly hope this is a legitimate company and my lamp arrives to my new address before my children are in grade school. Their support team has not responded to my request for an address change over a year ago. Lampster is asking for ADDITIONAL funds to ship the lamp and the burden is now on the customer for their mismanaged business model. I sincerely regret my decision to support Lampster in launching their first venture and feel my lamp may never arrive on a fully paid order. Christopher

Waiting over 4 years for 4 lampsters to be delivered. Stay away from this "company", it is a scam

If I could give zero stars I would. I am one of the original backers from the Kickstarter campaign almost FIVE YEARS AGO and have yet to see anything but lies and more lies from this company. Please please please do not buy from them, they are liars and thieves.

If I could choose 0 stars, I would. Original backer on Kickstarter almost five years ago. Think they took my money to the race track and lost. Never see any photos of inventory, never have any estimate of expected delivery, never have any proof of this being an actual production of more than one person. And yet, scripted customer service email says “They’re coming”. Unlikely! One of two founders has completely and public ally disowned the project. He was recorded on YouTube stating what an incompetent and mismanaged disaster this became and he wants nothing to do with it anymore. Don’t give these people any more money. You’re probably supporting a Ponzi scheme. The few people they’ve managed to extort for more money to ship individually (at a cost of almost $80 !!) have said the Lampster has app issues, poor assembly, dim light output, sloppy craftsmanship, and broken glass. Run away while you can! You could probably find a much better use of your money on literally anything else.

I bought and paid for a Lampster as a backer to the original Kickstarter campaign and still haven't received it... FOUR YEARS LATER. I would understand if it was a case of too many orders or shortage of product, but I know those aren't true since you can go to their website and buy them brand new now. Horrible business practice.
