The ladders has a good sort feature and email alert system. I like that it shows recruiter's names so you can contact them. The activity feature is really nice that let's you see recruiter activity.

One feature that makes The Ladders stand out among job sites is the Tracking tab, which lets you see if the job poster has taken any action on your submission (read your cover letter, downloaded your resume, etc.). It gives you a much better sense of whether you are even in the running.

You cannot sort opportunity by salary or hourly, daily pay rate but, they mostly do tell you what the pay range is - all are over 100K - I know this doesn't fully help when you are looking for 140K spots anywhere. Also, a number of spots are outside the USA, however everyone told me the they were not going to sponsor - so this is a miss for the ladders - they must not have a box on the web advertisement form requesting types of visa / citizenship they will accept - as some will accept already in country versus a new sponsorship. As you know, I'm a us citizen looking to work in Europe - occasionally they will have jobs for project managers that are really construction or trade project managers - such as paining PM, and not technology - so ladders is a bit behind career builders. The ladders used to have a feature to follow up with the recruiter about your resume submittal, but stopped. so overall - i'd give them 4 stars

Overall the site is very useful and for you pay for, worth the money. I would like to see when positions are closed. Reviewing the jobs I applied for and saved to see which ones have been filled. Also I wish more companies allowed you to apply directly through the site, having to great all the user accounts and passwords for the applications is tough. I would also prefer more filter options, like to search in 25 mile radius but also include remote positions (being in sales, most positions are remote) so it makes it tough to find all the positions you could be qualified for.

The Ladders offers excellent quality leads for open positions, but they must stop charging fees to potential applicants searching for a career. There are so many Head Hunters out there, and if you know where to look most of these you can find yourself! Yes it takes allot of time on the career search, it truly is a full time job in itself (Looking for a new career). As the job market changes so must "The Ladders".
