I see the hit rate is very low on these nationally posted positions. How to separate from the herd? The Ladders is good but as far as effective, I am still working to an end.

good for searching jobs, but never any connections

Though I see activity on my profile and recruiters have viewed and downloaded my resume, but they have not contacted nor have they mentioned for what position are they are viewing my resumes. It would be nice if they can be transparent. So we could trust the service better

I'm not sure that the site is providing any added value to my job searches. It seems very generic and unfocused. I feel that I get the same service from Monster.com. Also, why does it take some much effort on my part to give you feedback. Why do I have to log in, sign up or any of that. YOU asked for my opinion. Make it easy for me to give my opinion.

There are several other sights the provide similar access to opportunities at no charge.

I have been using, and therefore paying, for The Ladders for quite some time. Initially, my subscription was simply to stay abreast of the job market. Now that I am more earnestly looking, I am finding limited position listings in my area. Since the job market in my area is quite robust, it leads me to believe that The Ladders is no longer getting usage from employers and recruiters as it once did.

Goal for using Ladders: Find a replacement 6 figure sales job in a reasonable amount of time. Pros: - One of the best sites that list real 6 figure sales positions. Forget Monster and sites geared for "techies" - Job descriptions have been pretty accurate - Compensation listed has been pretty accurate Cons: - No recruiter contact information is listed for follow up- you're on you own to find that on the web or thru other services like LinkedIn - When applying from the Ladders site, only 1 document can be uploaded forcing applicants to combine a cover letter and resume into one document. - Only uploads .doc files no .pdf files allowed - Number of recruiters seems to be somewhat limited and not sure if there are enough recruiters using Ladders vs. something like LinkedIn. Bottom line: 3 stars only because 1 year later - I am still unemployed, gaining more attention to my resume with LinkedIn and adders inability to contact recruiter directly for follow up.

I am actively seeking full-time employment and have found TheLadders to be a good resource. There is, however, one aspect of the service you provide that I simply do not understand. On a regular basis I receive an email from TheLadders titled "See jobs your peers considered" and I have to wonder who cares what jobs my peers considered. This email does not help me in any way nor does it prompt me to consider similar positions. I really wish TheLadders would stop sending out this type of message because on some level it really ticks me off.
