It's taunting enough to land a job but when submitting for job openings, it would be nice, like before, to email job posters a follow up after applying. In addition, the ability to save multiple resumes to apply for different job openings. Not having any feedback after applying with no response or communicating (except for basic poster activity) makes this service no better than LinkedIn or ZipRecruiter. Unfortunately, I don't see myself renewing my subscription next go around and looking for other helpful resources.

I've been looking at positions on The Ladders for a number of years. First of all, I see no reason to pay for a service that is posting jobs. As a hiring manager, my job would be to get job posting circulated as widely as possible. Why would I want my job posting to be on a site that you have to pay to see. Many of the job postings on the Ladders are just aggregated from other sites. I have yet to find anyone who has paid for their "service" that has had a positive experience.

Job seekers no doubt feel a cold edge when sending their information via electronically as there is more time than not no response from the employers. While The Ladders does send a respond when the employer uploads the job seeker information, there is no mechanism allowing the job seeker to follow up. The employer hides behind the electronic curtain as a result. When will The Ladders provide this information? Malcolm Richards

I get very excited when TheLadders points me to a great job. I take the time to fill out the questionnaire and upload my resume. Then reality soon sinks in when nothing ever happens. There is a true disconnect going on, whether it be companies not reviewing online submissions or the criteria for getting a reply is too high or its just a black hole to dump your time (and hopes) into. At some point it shouldn't be a lottery as to getting a simple (not automated) reply that states, we received your application and you are missing "a particular skill" that we are looking for. Somebody has to plug the hole (black) and complete the connection between applicant and employer.

I have not found any opportunities in my industry.

Great list of jobs but very few responses when you apply.

I do not receive the responses back from recruiters after applying for a job. plus, i dont think the site is very helpful in my search

So far I haven't seen a single interview through Ladders and I've been active on a job market for the past 2 years. 4 out of 5 emails are not job leads but links to "Upgrade to see more". Regardless of how relevant the lead is to my experience (out of fun I applied to all variations) I get maybe one call out of 15 - 20 applications. Not worth my time and definitely not worth paying for same exact leads that can be had for free from every other site like LinkedIn, Dice, Monster, Indeed, etc.
