Enjoyable, but some promised items quietly discontinued
I recently purchased the Norah Aven Chronicles (Part 1). As an overseas customer, all 24 letters were mailed to me in a tracked package and arrived in under 2 weeks. My rating would have been 4 stars, but even though I received all letters, some items were missing: According to the website (at the time) and the intro card in the first letter, the story is supposed to contain "12 high quality stickers". I only received 6 stickers and contacted customer service about it. They replied relatively quickly and were nice about it, but I was told that several of the Norah Aven stickers had been discontinued and were therefore not in stock anymore. No replacement or other substitution was offered. To me, it reads like a way to quietly reduce the number of items in the subscription to save cost (think shrinkflation). Overall, I enjoyed the story. I think it is definitely geared towards younger readers and the quality of the writing could be higher (more concise, less repetition of facts between the content of the letters and the content on the extras), but I had a good time reading it nevertheless.
