Update Oct. 2, 2026: I waited ~1 week from the reply from The Author Verse saying “Our finance and billing team is contacting you soon to get your complaint resolved”. I never heard anything so I sent them an email with a screenshot of the Trustpilot review reply from them. Next week will be a month and I have still not heard from anyone. No reply from David W, Ross T, or the info email they use. This month marks a year since I paid with no services provided and no refund. Original post: I do not recommend working with The Author Verse. I signed up with them to help publish a book after being told there was a 100% money-back guarantee if I was not satisfied. I paid in full, but I was never able to begin the project and requested a refund before any work was started. I was told the refund would be processed within 10 business days. It never came. I followed up multiple times. Eventually, they stopped answering my calls. When I called from a different phone number, they answered and provided a new email contact who assured me the refund would be processed. That was nearly six months ago. Since then, I have received no refund and no further communication, despite repeated written follow-ups. No work was ever performed on my project. Based on my experience, the refund guarantee was not honored, and communication stopped once I requested my money back. I would strongly caution others before paying upfront.
