I'm a married father and have been a practicing attorney for 6 years. I signed up on a whim, but was satisfied with the program. I read the outlines, went through the note cards a couple of times and worked about 75% of the questions. I reviewed a few MPTs and essays also. I passed for my target jurisdiction, which was my only goal. The program had a lot more to offer that I didn't use. I also used their MPRE prep. Good job testmax/barmax.

I passed the Washington DC bar exam! I definitely recommend BarMax to prepare for the bar! It provided real MBE test questions that mirrored the remote bar exam and past MEE questions including ideal answers that helped me understand what exam graders were looking for. I particularly thought their constructive feedback regarding my practice essays helped tremendously! Lastly, the office hours were phenomenal as it gave me tips and techniques on how to approach each MBE and MEE question. Kudos and I thank you guys for your help with passing the bar!

I used BarMax to study for the bar exam with success. I had previously used Barbri without success. I appreciate that BarMax uses real MBE questions as well as concise explanations of the answers. I would recommend BarMax.

As a nontraditional re-taker, years removed from law school, I needed a program that would work with my extremely busy schedule and demanding corporate job. I originally used Barbri and Kaplan as most law school graduates do. I found that those programs took the kitchen sink approach which was neither beneficial nor efficient. The BarMax difference was astounding. I was able to study wherever I was, with synthesized, targeted information and had confidence because I was studying with actual questions. The one thing I’d recommend is adding a table of contents to the outline book to make it easier to revisit subject outlines when reviewing questions. The biggest benefit was the addition of a tutor. When I considered a tutor, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but wanted to maximize the limited study time I had. Matías Gonzalez really helped me to hone in on my weaknesses, talk through the issues and get regular feedback. My improvement from the first session to the last surpassed my expectations. If Matías didn’t have the answer, he found out and we addressed it in the next session. When he realized that I was anxious about the remote environment, he obtained additional information for me. He is very invested. I have to say that his dedication to his students is really impressive and made all the difference.

Good course for someone who is self-motivated and disciplined. The lectures and outlines cover just enough, in simple language, and the webinars with practical study tips tie everything together well. One room for improvement would be a tool to build a study schedule around other commitments (perhaps one that adjusts when you miss or move quicker through a lesson). As I juggled studying and a full-time job as an attorney, I found myself worried that I was "wasting" my precious study time. The tools provided focused on the law student test-taker (able to study for 8+ hours per day every day) and were difficult to extrapolate to a study schedule relegated to evenings and weekends.

I used this as my main study tool and I passed the bar the first time (by studying really hard and long). I also used Fleming’s to study for the performance exam and I used Emanuel’s simulated MBE questions so I studied a lot. I found the outlines In Barmax were really good as were the audio lectures. Exception: the Community property lecture sounded dis-jointed. The organization of the materials was clear and logical. It is essential that they give you just what you need so that you don’t overdose on trying to learn too much. The answers for explaining some of the MBEs is inadequate and frustrating but I heard it is still better than competing products. I found the flash cards to be inadequate at first Because the question part didn’t prompt the answer asked for on the other side but my understanding is that they are improving the flash cards; they were half done improving the flash cards in October of 2020, they may be done with that by now. Although I only give it 4 stars, I don’t think that there is a better system overall.

Ravi really listens to what you are asking, no matter how silly you may think your question is. He understands very quickly the issues that you want to hone in on for clarification, and will course-correct when necessary. You genuinely feel that Ravi wants to help you succeed.

I was enrolled in the three tutor sessions and I had Ben as my tutor who I believe did an excellent job. He was an understanding tutor that helped me understand the material we worked on so I appreciate his hard work. Even though I didn’t have more sessions I would go back and get his help. The only thing I have to say that did bother me was how pricey it was. I understand that other lsat packages are about the same I just felt that having paid the highest amount I could and only getting 3 one hour sessions was not fair to really getting a good assessment of how I work and how to improve.
