I have been using Clyde Engle for tutoring since September and he has been amazing! I have Used other tutors in the past and none have been as great as Clyde. He is always so encouraging and professional. He has really helped me understand the test like no one else has and I would not of been able to get through studying for this test without him!!

For LSAT tutoring, I worked with Clyde Engle and, in full transparency, Clyde is singlehandedly the only redeeming quality about LSATMax. Every single other aspect in choosing LSATMax as a course was subpar and iffy—if you are thinking of doing LSATMax, I would say only do it if you plan to do tutoring with Clyde. From the beginning, he was consistently encouraging, professional, and respectful. But, he was also appreciably and bluntly straightforward—I knew with him that I was never going to get things sugarcoated and a false sense of security, which in the LSAT and law school admissions process, is incredibly needed to successfully navigate these competitive waters. He was kind and uplifting, but also gave me constructive criticism, which is what you pay a tutor for. A good tutor is one that can be real with you and tell you where you’re at, so they can help get you to where you want to go. After tutoring with Clyde, I was able to bring my practice exam scores from a 160 to as high as a 174. I really don’t credit the LSAT Max course for this—I credit Clyde and his instruction and strategies.

BarMax offered a comprehensive package of study materials! I found the office hours to be very helpful. I also had Jennifer Carr as a tutor and she was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond to make sure I understood how to attack MBE questions. She also helped me improve my strategy for the California PT. I would highly recommend BarMax and Jennifer Carr as a tutor!

The BarMax materials and curriculum for the baby bar really gave me a good structure and access to all the necessary study materials. More importantly, my tutor, Jennifer, was absolutely amazing. She took the time to really get to know me and thus pin point my exact strengths and weaknesses. She found ways to play to my strengths, and was extremely thoughtful about how to address my weaknesses using my strengths. She was so empathetic and communicative, and was dedicated to creating a study system that was catered to my learning style, while constantly checking in with me to ensure that each study practice was the best way to move forward. Jennifer also took a wholistic approach in that she was clear that my mental and physical health was equally important to my success as my studying was. Thanks to her guidance and support, I went into the exam feeling confident and was able to pass on the first try!

The MBE questions were real! The law was concise, to the point, and what you needed to know in order to actually score high in your MBE portion of the bar exam. After multiple tries, I finally passed the CA Bar! Thank you.

I left my tutoring session with a definite plan and clearer map for increasing my reading performance. Abby was a great listener which allow her to tailor what steps/techniques to include into my plan. In one day, I realized and applied steps in my reading that made the process more productive.
