I purchased Terabit’s Remote DDoS…
I purchased Terabit’s Remote DDoS Protection expecting assistance with getting the service properly configured and working. Instead, I spent several days troubleshooting routing, GRE and their protected IPs, but the service was never successfully usable end-to-end. The biggest disappointment was the support. Terabit required a specific asymmetric/DSR routing setup, but I was not given a clear practical guide to implement the complete configuration. When problems appeared, I was essentially told to resolve the routing with my own hosting provider. This was especially surprising because other DDoS/proxy providers I contacted were willing to configure and test the tunnel from both sides themselves, make sure everything actually worked, and only then proceed with payment. I tried to cooperate with Terabit, performed the requested network tests and contacted my hosting provider multiple times. After all that time, the protected service still could not be properly put into operation. When I requested a refund, Terabit refused based on their short refund policy, even though much of that time had been spent troubleshooting the service with support. After I opened a payment dispute, they closed my support ticket so I could no longer reply. Shortly afterwards, they also suspended my already paid service claiming an “unpaid invoice”, while their own billing panel still showed the invoice as paid and the service period as active. I gave them multiple opportunities to resolve the issue directly. Based on the lack of practical technical assistance, the failed implementation, the refund handling, and what happened afterwards, I cannot recommend Terabit. Update regarding Terabit’s response: I categorically deny launching, ordering, authorizing, or participating in any DDoS attack or botnet activity against Terabit. I purchased their service specifically to protect my game server from DDoS attacks. Terabit is now publicly accusing me of criminal activity based on alleged network correlations. A ping from infrastructure associated with me does not by itself prove that I initiated or controlled a DDoS attack. There is also a contradiction in their explanation. I was previously notified that my service was suspended because of an “unpaid invoice”, while their own billing panel showed the invoice as Paid. They are now publicly claiming that the suspension happened because of alleged abuse. I have retained screenshots of both statements. If Terabit believes a criminal offence occurred, they are free to provide their evidence to the appropriate authorities. I deny these allegations.
Response from Terabit.ioSep 9, 2026
Hello, As we have previously shown and demonstrated before TrustPilot removed our response based on a false complaint, you accepted in writing in the 4 tickets you submitted that our service was fully functional. You stated that your other provider where you intended to tunnel to was not working. You admitted to receiving traffic from us, as intended. You knew that we operate asymmetrical. You proceeded to demand us help your other provider free of charge to which we declined and said we could investigate for a fee of $100/hour which you refused. We offered you to move your gameservers to our platform, you accepted with the intention to tunnel out which is not allowed, and refused the dedicated server. At all points, you were uncooperative to our staff team. Our staff answered over the weekend, gave you the solution (disable uRPF), and your other ISP was unable to do that. This is not held as a fault on our end - but yours - as you admitted in your ticket response that Terabit's end was not at fault. After all this, you then proceeded to submit a fraudulent chargeback, and once we received this chargeback we suspended your service due to the chargeback we received. Thank you
