Just two days after I placed my order, I received the Passport SIM card. I put it in my phone and was able to activate it right away and get my U.S. (California) number. The tracking app makes it so easy to know exactly how much credit I have, and it works in all of the countries I will be visiting this year. So I now have what I wanted, a phone for emergencies that can be reached by a U.S. number and for occasional local calls.

I did not want to use my US cell phone in Russia for voice and text.. For about the cost of buying a SIM card for my iPhone, I bought from Telestial a phone and a European SIM card and prepaid usage. All has gone very well thus far: nice little phone, instructions are clear, SIM works in US. I'll try all of above in Russia in a few weeks and report if I encountered any problems, which I doubt. Our tour organizer went the alternative of using her US cell phone but bought a Russian SIM card through Telestial. She has done this trip several times and recommended Telestial to me,

After googling and visiting several websites that sell and/or rent international cellulars, I found telestial to have the best reviews, prices and rates. I was surprised to find out it was cheaper to buy a cellular than to rent one. I called the customer service number and the agent was pleasant and answered all my questions. I went back online and ordered the economy pack that includes the ekit 4c dual SIM cellular and the passport SIM card. I received the kit in three days and the set-up was easy to follow. After fully charging the battery and installing the SIM card I made the first call from the USA. I'm leaving to Europe next week and can't wait to use the cellular and save on the expensive roaming charges and rates. Thank you telestial!

If you are in the market for an International SIM card with great rates, look no further. This company is top notch. Ordered a Telestial Explorer SIM to use when travelling in Italy and Greece. Very easy to order, rates are clearly explained on the website, and it was shipped quickly. Got a US number in addition to a global phone number by signing into their website. SIM came activated and ready to use. For $29 (plus shipping), you get the SIM and a $20 credit. Very reasonable not to have to deal with getting a SIM in the local country and getting it activated.

We had three in our family taking trips overseas this summer (France, Italy, Israel) and had IPhones (4S, 5 & 5S) Two Verizon and one ATT. Both Verizons were already unlocked and we contacted ATT and they unlocked the other one as we own it and completed the contract on the phone a whle back. Ordered three cards and each phone was easy and quick to setup once we replaced the US carrier's sim card with Telestials. Seems to work great and is very affordable option. We didn't use any data plans and just used these for keeping in touch on phone and with texts. Checked around and this seemed like the best route for us to go.
