Never use this company. I had to correct the return they created 3 different times because I kept finding incorrect inputs. Additionally, I needed to file 2 amended returns because the one they created was also incorrect and caused a large tax bill. Terrible service that created far more headaches that I ended up having to correct.

I'd give 0 stars if I could. This company is very unethical. We are a CPA firm that was using their outsourcing model. We signed up for the start of the 2023 tax season (roughly December 2023). We took advantage of a prepayment discount and bought $60k of credit with them for tax preparation. The pros assigned to us were completely unreliable and incompetent. Many pros would be assigned and then never start any work or would indicate experience in software we used (Sureprep), when they didn't. We cycled through at least 10 pros assigned to our account. If they did work, they would often take over a month to complete a return, not complete the workpapers or give very poor work documentation (we paid extra for them to do this), or make egregious errors such as deducting owner distributions as "miscellaneous expenses", double deducting home office expenses, not being able to enter assets off a cost segregation study. They represented pros can complete foreign forms (5471, 3520), but in both cases we assigned those returns, they did the rest of return but not those forms. Communication was poor from both the pros and the customer relations team and ended up being full of empty promises. Ultimately we said enough is enough and requested cancelation and a refund of the unused contract amount. We indicated that we did not intend on walking away from money and that we fully intended to utilize the contract if cancelation wasn't an option. They agreed to cancelation. I asked about a refund and said they'd get back to me. A month later they indicated there would be no refund. So now, they are keeping the money and not providing the services! This is the exact scenario I told them I didn't want to be in. I even reminded this to them with the link of the Zoom recording of the conversations I had with them. Submitted credit card disputes. They're lying to AMEX indicating that they are still offering to provide services despite emails that the contract is canceled. Over $30k is overpaid based on what we paid versus work they did. Stay away from them.

In Dec 2024, I purchased premium tax filing services from Rocket Tax, which uses TaxFyle. I uploaded all docs by early February. Since then, I’ve been assigned to a third tax professional, and unfortunately, no-one worked on my returns at all. I am tired of following-up, all excuses and lies but no commitment to get anything done. I’m expecting a huge refund, and I’m losing business opportunities due to the lack of funds. Deeply disappointed with this experience. It’s unprofessional and unacceptable. I don’t understand how they can be in business?

Pro didn't file the extension per the job request and I was charged a late filing fee.

11 Weeks ago, I started a Job with this organization I had previously used. I mentioned I was an expat, but it wasn't a complicated job. They charged and allocated me a "pro" (laugh), but there was no news for 8 weeks. After eight weeks, I got another pro for two days, and another one. Then, I received a message telling me I had to pay a significant additional amount. It is where I am now. I have requested a refund for non-delivery (cricket...)

HORRIBLE. The tax preparer they assigned me told me I owed $34,000 in taxes last year. My entire income was around that amount for the year. This tax preparer a so called expert argued with me on chat for over an hour on a Saturday night stating I did owe this. The stress was unbearable. No one at Taxfyle available to help until the following Tuesday. When I cancelled their service, the firm stated I owed them for the job anyway. When a firm does not provide a competent service, how could you owe them? After hiring another competent accountant my taxes were $0 for the year. I am in process of going to small claims court against them.

This gotta be the worse customer service and the worse platform to file your taxes,I had an HORRIBLE experience and I won't suggest to my worst enemy.

Horrible Experience! I've had a BUSY year and needed help doing my taxes from 2023. I paid extra for bookkeeping fees. 1st person assigned to me said she was going to do it by October 15th when they were due.. said everything was going great. I stayed up until midnight waiting around and available to answer any questions, only for her to say sorry having internet issues, that she would submit my taxes as is then amend them later. Then she proceeded to ghost me for 3 weeks!!! I had to figure out how to get customer service to help me because no number to call... 2nd person assigned to me was nice but I had to do all of the bookkeeping myself because we were now in a super time crunch to have them amended by November 15th. Was super short with me and I don't feel like I got $1500 worth of work done when I had to spend my entire birthday weekend doing all of the bookkeeping myself!!! I complained and they offered me nothing but a discount for next year- NO THANKS. Completely stressful situation and not worth the money. If it was just one person, take my review with a grain of salt. But 2 people, and barely any communication? I paid more taxes than I've ever paid in my life- I am 40 and have always gotten a refund. Do NOT recommend. ** UPDATE 12/18/24 *** PISSED! I received a bill in the mail from the IRS saying I owed even more money for FILING LATE!!! Taxfyle promised that they filed it on time and explained that it could be amended so I wouldn't get fined. Now I owe $1500 more in fines thanks to their lie. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!!
