Contact on LinkedIn – irrelevant outreach
I received a message from this company for a role completely unrelated to my background. I’m a Mechanical Engineer, and I was contacted for an Electrical Design & Engineering Manager position — despite the message stating that my profile had been “carefully reviewed”. This makes me think that messages may be sent in bulk without checking candidates’ competencies, which wastes people’s time. When I pointed this out, the reply I received was simply “Thanks for letting me know”, with no explanation. My advice: be cautious and verify the relevance of any unsolicited contact before sharing personal information.

Hi Avandroid, We would like to clarify that Talent.com does not send unsolicited recruitment messages on LinkedIn or contact candidates on behalf of employers for specific roles. Recruiters and employers manage their own outreach independently, and Talent.com does not review candidate profiles or send bulk LinkedIn messages. If this message was sent by a recruiter or employer through LinkedIn, please note that Talent.com does not manage or control their outreach or recruitment practices. If your experience was related to another company or recruiter, we understand your frustration. However, if you believe Talent.com was involved in any way, please contact us at [email protected] with more details so we can investigate. Best regards,
