I purchased a Caravan 3.3L Engine in December 2024 for $1245. I chose SW Engines because their Website claims they have a 5YR / 50,000 mile Parts and Labor Warranty. Sounded Reputable to me. After the engine was delivered to my Mechanic on January 9, 2025, my Mechanic installed the engine within the “10 Day” Installation Warranty Period that SW Engines unexplainably requires. After installation, and all fluid levels are checked, my Mechanic did a short test drive. He noticed there is an obvious exterior antifreeze leak on the Intake Manifold Gasket, running down the side of the block. After being notified by my Mechanic, I called SW Engines and explained the issue. I was told that the only parts covered by the Warranty was the Block, Camshaft, Heads, Rockers, and Oil Pump. So I continued explaining that my mechanic won’t replace the Intake Manifold Gasket for free. They told me gaskets are not on the list of replacement parts. Further, explaining how I now have to spend several $100’s more to repair an engine that they claim has a 5YR / 50,000 mile Warranty. I now asked to talk to a Supervisor, and conveniently none were available. My opinion is that SW Engines Do Not Honor their own Warranty. They are very difficult to get in touch with anyone. If they answer, you are put on hold then a recording plays every couple minutes telling you “Your call is very important to us. Please stay on the line, and your call will be transferred to the next available Agent” until you get disconnected or lose patience and hang up. I DON’T ADVISE ANYONE TO DO BUSINESS WITH SW ENGINES!! They are a SCAM!! They are a FRAUD!! SW Engines is NOT Better Business Bureau Accredited!!

PLEASE STAY AWAY THIS COMPANY IS STEALING MONEY LEFT AND RIGHT. THEY SHIPPED ME A DAMAGE ENGINE THEN I RETURNED IT AND THEY TRYING TO CHARGE ME SHIPPING AND RESTOCKING THESE PEOPLE MUST BE SHUT DOWN. THEY HAVE YEGT TO RESOLVE IT

I purchased engine Nov 2023. For my 2008 Chevy Colorado $2700 It arrived 6 weeks later at my mechanic shop late December 2023. My mechanics installed and ran diagnostics to ensure everything was running properly. I picked up my Chevy Colorado end of Feb 2025. By May my engine made pinging sounds. I only had put less than 3000 miles on it. I took it back to shop. They tested it ran diagnostics showing air leakage fixed and tightened bolts. By late June it started making louder sound and shaking and cutting off.I had hip replacement surgery in Dec 2023 so I was only putting dmfew miles on my Colorado to and from Dr appointments and physical therapy sessions. I had AAA tow it to my mechanics shop. After diagnostics found it lost compresson and showed faulty cam crank shaft. I called SW ENGINES for a warranty replacement. After days attempting to reach someone on phone. Plus multiple texts. Finally they texted a warranty form for my mechanic to fill out within 5 days. They immediately filled it out in 2 days and sent it. I received text next day saying confirmation and successfully filled out warranty replacement information. That warranty dept would begin processing warranty to replace my engine. Waiting for weeks for reply and when new engine would be sent now into mid August. Finally after daily attempts and again on hold over 45 mins I spoke to warranty dept. The rep told me I was missing oil change proof within 1000 miles per warranty. To submit that by receipt. My mechanic sent copy of receipt by text to warranty dept rep same day that showed oil change done in Feb 2023 . Now into Sept still no calls texts. Many attempts to reach again. Finally reached warranty dept. I was told was under review by supervisor. That they would call me asap. Bringing me to mid late Oct. Again on hold multiple times Finally reached warranty dept. Spoke to supervisor after being put on hold well over 40 mins. My warranty was denied because they claim the oil change receipt from my mechanic was not a valid receipt? How can it not be valid? IT IS THEIR RECEIPT ! Now SW ENGINES refused to honor warranty. I AM OUT OF 5000 INCLUDING INSTALL FOR A REBUILT ENGINE THAT I PURCHASED AND ONLY WAS ABLE TO USE A FEW MONTHS. SWENGINES OBVIOUSLY IS A SCAM OR COMMITS FRAUD TO ITS CUSTOMERS.

I have been doing business with other companies for a long time, SW Engines is my worst experience. The only reason I considered purchasing an engine from SW Engine is because of their warranty offer. However, their customer service and refund policies are unprofessional and uncourteous. I purchased an engine, and the company promised they would ship the engine within 7-14 days. On the 11th day, they sent me an email saying that there was a delay in getting my order on the road to me. I responded that ‘delay’ is not a timeframe. They did not give me any estimated days to expect the delivery that would allow me to agree to the delayed delivery. I responded to their email to let them know that it is the 11th day, and ‘you still don’t have an estimated shipping date,” so I will have to cancel my order for a full refund since the order was not shipped and they could not commit to their 7-14-day shipping agreement. I received my refund, but SW Engines took 25% of the total cost, saying it was their cancelation fee. My cancelation was justified because they could not give me a delivery date and the word delay without an estimated time is not what was promised. I did not even receive an engine from this company, and they asked me for customer feedback. After my experience with them, I went through some reviews, and I realized that they have an excessive number of negative reviews. One customer stated they ‘ waited a month to receive their engine and when they got the engine it was no good. I am happy I canceled which probably saved me from being in that same situation. SW Engine failed to commit to their shipping agreement, and they did not give me a full refund, so I would never recommend them to anyone.

Had our mechanic install a v6 motor in our 2010 camaro that was bought through SW engines. He called me today and said that it runs but sounds like its about to lock up. Spent $3800 on this motor through these a$$holes. And another $2000 to install it

I got a motor for my dodge ram 1500 it was a 5.7 hemi I was told the motor only had 64000 on it but it looked very old once I received it and sure enough 7 months later motor lost comprehension never over heated or ran hot just got sold a bad motor then came the The warranty jokes 3 years as long as a motor was installed within 7 days which i wasnt told do To hydro lock motors in this state fl. My motor wasnt installed for 10 days and I lost my 3 year warranty and only had 6 month and the motor went out 7 months after installing I only put about 20 miles a day on my truck I wouldn't buy any motor from them again would tell anyone out there that you will get burned stay away from this company I run my owen business and take pride in my work im rated 4 star on Angie's list but these people have no pride in what they do or how they treat there customers Channel one.

No communication, staff whom answers the phone reads form a script and tells you the smae lies aboiut your motor. I ordered and paid for the motor 19 days ago and no response to my inquiries. I have left multiple messages for Manager Dale Jones - no repsonse, no motor, no communication. 90% of the time you are on hold and get cut off. Call LKQ - anyone but these people!!!

Sales person for SW Engines quoted "A long block engine ready to drop in. Only thing you need to change is the thermostat." Shipping took a little long. Once engine arrived, realized it will need more than "...just a thermostat." Had to clean out water, replaced almost every item but the heads. Filed a warranty submission on their website. Should have been my red flag right there. Check it out, maybe one of the best warranty submission pages on a website I've seen! They are set up to handle all the problems they sell (and void warranty submissions). Cannot talk to a person during the process. And don't expect to have anything covered as SW Engines appears to have a catch all clause to prevent them from refunds. I have already submitted my notes and talked with warranty reps / managers. They choose not to recognize their sales rep lied. So I will help to warn customers not to use them. Note: for any employee at SW Engines that would like to address this, my invoice number is 438083.
