I would not order from this company (SW Engines) again and neither will none of my friends. Lost out big time with this company. My first engine was not good had to take it out and replace it with another one. Now this one need major work on it but this company will not pay to have it worked on. They wouldn't even give me the cost of taking out two engines and replacing it with another engine. Now this thing was setting for two years and they sold it to me without even starting it. If they had started it they would have noticed that it was not working right. Had to replace the throttle body because the one they sent me was no good. This engine has no power and now my mechanic says that it's the fuel injectors that are no good and will have to replace those. I have spent almost $2500 on this new engine experience and still need to buy new fuel injectors so that this engine might have the power I need. This was not a good investment. Now you say you don't run the engines, well that's not what the contact person told me...he said they had started that engine and it ran good...then when I called him again he said they ran it two years ago...what a scam. Have to install new injectors, and it still doesn't run good...very weak engine. With all the money I spent which was almost $3500 I could have bought a new rebuild one with a guarantee that it was going to be good. I will never recommend this company to anyone and I've told my friends about this so they won't get scammed.

Sent me a junk engine. Refuse to return my calls or emails. My mechanic won't install the engine as it is unusable. He cannot even use it for a core exchange.1-Significant amount of water in the oil pan. 2-Cams were extremely worn, and in a strange uneven way, also heavy pitting. 3-Rod bearings are shot. 4-Water jacket extremely rusty, pulled freeze plugs to find unusually large amounts of sludge. 5-Borescope found extreme carbon build up. 6-Mechanic believes engine had at least twice the miles stated, had been badly overheated, suspects overhaul with wrong parts. 7-Thermostat completely corroded .

YOU FOLKS DO NOT RESPOND ON WARRANTY.WE PURCHASED A ENGINE AND THE HEAD GASKETS WERE LEAKING OIL WHEN WE UNWRAPPED IT.CALLED ON IT AND YOU SAID INSTALL IT,WHICH I DID NOT AGREE WITH.I'M A ASE MASTER TECHNICIAN AND I KNOW MY JOB.I CALLED WHEN THE ON WARRANTY WEEKS AGO AND THEY SAID THAT THEY WOULD SEND ME A NEW ENGINE.NO RESPONSE YET.WHAT A JOKE.WE PAID GOOD MONEY AND HAVE GOTTEN VERY POOR SERVICE.I WILL NOT CONSIDER THEM AGAIN.MY AUTO SHOPS REP HAS TAKEN A HIT BECAUSE I TRUSTED THEM.NEVER AGAIN.

I purchased a 2005 Jaguar engine with 55,000 miles in January of 2015. Immediately upon installation the engine made excessive noise, presumably a timing chain tensioner. I called the warranty line but never received a return call. The noise has gotten worse and is virtually undriveable. I called again and finally was able to speak with someone in warranty.....not a very professional person, who suggested I just pay to fix the problem or that they could send me another engine but that the warranty would not cover the removal and replacement as advertised. People would be foolish to consider the warranty at SWE to have any value whatsoever.

We ordered an engine that was supposed to have only 57,000 miles for my 1998 Transport on March 4. Received at my mechanic's shop on or about 3-16-15. I received a call from the shop 3-19-15 saying that the motor is in but the car runs a little rough. When I and my friend got there, the mechanic who worked on it told my friend to listen to how it runs. It was ticking, mechanic also said that the bottom of the motor was not running right and that we got a bad motor. My friend called SW Engines while we were at the shop. First he spoke with Scott, who put him on hold, after about 10-15 mins, someone named Joe answered. Before my friend could explain all that was wrong, he was quickly put on hold again. When the last person finally answered, he refused to give his name when asked, which is very telling. My friend put our mechanic on the phone to speak with the nameless person that was on the other end. My friend asked why are we responsible for paying labor charges or any costs to replace a motor that was defective and no good from the beginning. As my friend asked more questions, apparently the nameless person got angry because he hung up on my friend after saying that another motor would be shipped. Yes, he hung up on him. I and the mechanic was standing right there when it happened. Perception and integrity means a lot to us and because of the actions of those who kept putting us on hold for long periods, being told we have to pay for a whole new install on another motor that SW Engines sends, which we don't trust will be a good one and being hung up on shows EW Engine in a negative light. We have completely lost trust with the company and would truly prefer to just get our money back, period. We are in the process of drafting a letter to send to the BBB and the Attorney General with our concerns and complaints once all of this is done. Again, we would rather get our money back and go elsewhere. Fool us once, shame on you......Fool us twice......don't think so, smh.

My engine came for my 2004 avalanche into my machanic shop. He sent me pics of the intake broke due to shipping it without a crate around the top of the motor. It was just shrink wrapped to a skid. An there warranty is written so that shipping damages isn't there problem. So your stuck with the cost of repairs if shipped poorly. Something was set on top of mine to squish my intake like that. I'll never order anything again from these crooks.. $1,200.00 for a non-working motor that they claimed it works. How do I know, it was broke when I got it! Now a new intake that will be another $250.00 plus labor.. Thanks I appreciate the extra expenses!!!

I got a 3 year warranty and that engine I received died. I followed everything to the letter and I'm told it expired.how that when I got a 3 year warranty and it 1 year and 1 month old. They jerked me around saying I needed pic I got them and called repeatedly to know where to send no knew answered me but told the person putting it in that it expire now my goal is to warn people that it over priced cus they do not follow through and it a engine they get from a junk yard how do I know I did more research.DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!

Ordered the First Engine F550-6.4, it was almost a month before we received it, it was put in the Work Company Truck,(our old motor was picked up for the core charge) only to find out that the MOTOR THEY SENT US WAS BLOWN, Our mechanic called SW Engines for them to send another Engine but they said we had to pay to have it taken back out, sent back, then they would send a different one. We waited another 2 wks. called many times, they lied about the status of the 2nd Engine, 2 days before it was to be shipped they told us that it was getting the pressure checks done.The day it was to be shipped I called because I hadn't gotten an email about tracking. When they answered (name) told me that the Engine had not been taken out of that truck yet and that it will take longer to ship, I told them that I was going to contact the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, HE HUNG UP ON ME!!! I called back a few mins. later, He answered so I asked him why he hung up on me, he said because I THREATENED HIM WITH THE B.B.B. and that I was in the wrong and he hung up again. Finally the motor gets here, we had replace the Turbo's and a lot on top of the Motor. This all started 9/2/14, about 10/20/14 Truck was running, I called for them to reimburse the $1,000.00 core charge, never got it so I called again, Finally Got the core charge 1/6/15. Can't due the warranty until you've driven 500 miles. So in the end we 've had to pay the dealership to remove 2 Engines, and pay to have 2 Engines put in our Company Work Truck, Not to mention losing all that Company money because 1 of our trucks was out of Commission for almost 2 months.
