I am disappointed with the order to shipping process. Was told the engine I ordered was coming from OKlahoma and now see it's coming from Washington.
Finally received tracking after my 10th phone call and mind you I purchased the engine and contract on February 1st it is now February 25th still no engine and roughly another week before I will receive it.
After reading all the horror stories . Looking at over 30 days by the time I receive it. Now I have to worry that it's a junk engine! I live in Florida this is ridiculous. I better receive what I paid for!!!!

NOT COOL AT THIS POINT
I found swengines surfing the internet for an engine for a 2008 Nissan Altima I've had sitting in the garage for nearly a year, which I refuse to sell due to a sentimental value it has. It's one of 4 vehicles owned by me and my wife. So as a New Year Resolution, my wife and decided to restore the vehicle from top to bottom over the next few months, so we set out to find a motor. I purchased the unit on 1/25/16 SWE. Since then, I've gotten emails from SWE giving me status updates. As of today, I'm 10 business days into the purchase and the last emails states the unit (engine) is headed to spot checking, the email prior to the last email, stated the unit was in route to quality control. Upon doing the math, there is no way the unit would be arriving in the time(s) initially stated by SWE. With that being the case, I decided to call and cancel the order, being that I can get it faster (this weekend) at this point here in Southern California. I placed a call the previous day and was set into a voicemail. I called again today and I was set in the same voicemail. Upon calling again; I'm told no one can cancel the order besides the Supervisor whom I'm told is Scott, who's supposedly is out to lunch. Upon further discussion with the person on the phone, I request another person in charge. Unfortunately, after further communication with this individual, he raises his voice and then I'm hung on in an attempt to cancel the order, which has not shipped. I call back minutes later with a different tone of voice (softer), and I directly request Scott (supposed manager, who's out to lunch). Unsurprisingly; I'm transferred directly to Scott, who is actually the person I just spoke with. At this point, I know my instincts are correct and I shouldn't work with this business. Again; I state my wish to cancel my order, I'm told it will be done and I'm suppose to receive a cancellation email, but due to me and a few of my family members careers in our industry, we've seen this many a times with businesses and how it has to be remedied should matters decay any further. To cancel an order prior to shipping merchandise contrast with policy (aka Torts) related to a consumer who has received shipped merchandise. My merchandise has been confirm as to not being shipped at the time I cancelled the order, confirmed by the latest email from SWE and verbally by Scott or whomever the person really was on the phone today. It's unfortunate to here such horror stories (reviews) and I hope that SWE decides to be "just" with my matters. Unfortunately; I will not be able to confirm that until later today. Although I never had my order shipped or confirmed readiness, I'm sure they'll want to inflict fees for cancellation. Their contract states cancellation is "subject to" a 25% fee. "Subject to" means just what it means "they can charge the fee or they don't have to charge the fee". Stay tune for Part II of my review. I hope to make it a positive one. Sometimes it cost not to do business with a person or place. I'm fortunate to have a car I'm making a project out of and it's not necessary I fix it immediately, but I feel for those of you who are reliant on the vehicle you're repairing because it's your primary vehicle. I pray all goes well for those who fit that description. TO BE CONTINUED.
NOT COOL AT THIS POINT PART ll
So I did get my funds returned to me minus 23.6% cancellation fee. However; getting someone to let me know when it would be returned was a chore. I inquired because the cancellation notice doesn't specify how many days and/or weeks it takes to have your funds returned. So I contact my credit card company for assistance. However; I'm happy to move on and the vehicle in questions is being repaired as of 2/13/16 and will be ready for pick up any today from my Mechanic of 13 years. I ended finding the motor locally and I was able to visit the business personally to look over the engine prior to buying it. That would be my advice to everyone; "find a local business in your own area to see and touch what you're buying". Buying something so important, so costly is risky business if you're buying online. Good luck SWEngines (aka Quality Used Motors).

Ripe off company
I could not write my review in one sentence. This company is the biggest rip-off to the public. We purchased an engine that supposedly in excellent condition, runs well, low mileage, and everything in good working order. After it was installed and started by the mechanic had major problems with the timing. The mechanic spoke with the warranty dept Alex and Scott in particular and of course timing is not covered in the warranty. That's another thing there warranty is a joke because if you read any of there reviews online, with anyone having problems. It was never covered under the warranty. So after many back and forth conversations I got a video of the engine that we purchased. And upon seeing that the engine was bad from the get go. They than agreed to send another engine at another 500.00 and no guarantee. I have written a letter to the better business bureau and to the governor of OK. To inform them of this company selling non functional products.

Very Upsetting
I see other complaints similar to mine, and recently too (thats messed up). They sold me a used engine. It arrived late (via SAIA Shipping Company). It was very obviously damaged in shipping - it arrive to the mechanic on a broken wooden pallet on its side. Broken flywheel plate, camshaft sensor and throttle sensor. Contacted their Warranty Dept and was advised in both a bland and uninterested tone that the warranty did not cover shipping damage. Went on to inspect the engine to see if it was worth salvaging those parts from the engine being replaced, and discovered a jumped timing belt. Any novice mechanic knows this renders the engine completely unreliable or worse. I sent the warranty guy (Steve?) a copy of the picture of the issue - no response or acknowledgement, but they then proceeded to dispute my charge back saying the engine was reliable when they sold it. If they are in the used engine business they know this is not possibly true. I wish I had known about this TrustPilot website and read these other reviews before i purchased. I have kids, no replacement engine still, its just before Xmas, and they are giving my entire family months of stress we should not be enduring. There are other engine replacement companies that are much more reliable apparently - do the research and find one of them (i wish i had). If you buy from SW Engines you are rolling the dice, and from the collection of these complaints it seems you will get snake eyes. Good Luck.

Please learn from my mistake! Do NOT buy from them.
Please, under no circumstances should you order from this company. I have never dealt with such a rude and horrible place of business. A few things I will point out.
Never order if time is a factor. It took over 24 days and 16 business days to receive my order.
Upon calling just to find out what the deal was and why my engine has not arrived, they were rude and inconsiderate. They had no idea of when it would be there and actually got angry when I kept pressuring them for information. The man in shipping had no idea when they would ship my engine. I had to break teeth to get the engine shipped on a Friday instead of the following Monday.
After 21 days of poor and rude customer service. I called again to find out when it would arrive.
The "manager" was even worse to talk too. When asked he quite angrily said " you will get your engine when you get your engine" and then proceeded to hang up on me.
Also, big issue, if you decide you don't want to continue with the company and decided you want to return your engine. Under terms and conditions, you have to pay shipping and 25% restocking fee. In my case it came out for $600. That how much it would cost to stop dealing with this company.
So remember that you are under contract
My conclusion is this, it is NOT what they did, it was how they did it. This entire poor review is a result of their inability to have proper information and how they handled customer service.
Things happen with shipping, I get that. Things break, estimations take longer , and so forth. But, the way they handled it was unacceptable.
It could take 24 business days, but if they actually handled their service properly, I probably wouldn't be giving such a negative review. Very few times were they helpful, which made this ordeal and nightmare.
Please do NOT make my mistake. Upon reading the reviews of many different sites and my poor experience, I wish I never ordered from this company. Over the course of their 35 years of business I can not even guess how they are still open. I would give zero stars if I could

Awful
I ordered an engine for a 2002 Honda CRV from SWE on 9/14/15, it arrived at my mechanics over 30 days later, and it had been damaged in shipping. For some reason, I'm taking SWE at their word that their "spot checks" were on point and it wasn't damaged when it left their facility. Either way, the engine was not properly secured in the shipping truck, it fell over, and parts that were once perfectly usable were broken, forcing my mechanic to rip parts off the old engine and put them on this one. I incurred additional labor fees, and I was without my vehicle for an extra seven days because of this mistake.
I called SWE to try and get some reimbursement, as this is not my fault nor that of my mechanic, and the individual I spoke to (didn't catch a name) was rude, and simply told me "if you'd read your warranty you'd see there's nothing we can do." He was 100% unhelpful, and I flat out refuse to believe that "there's nothing that can be done."
This is the fault of SW Engines, not me, and not my mechanic. They need to be held responsible for their actions. I've since looked up their reputation on the BBB, which I should have done beforehand, and I found that not only do they have an "F" rating, but they also have 370 complaints against them, most of which have been left unresolved.
I will be reporting this fraud of a company to as many places as possible, and I will not stop until this is fixed.

I bought a Chrysler engine for a 2004 m300 that was suppose to have less than 70,000 miles on it. After The engine was installed I tried to activate the warranty (the engine must be installed before you can activate the warranty) I got a message saying I took over 14 day from them shipping the engine until I had it installed so my warranty was void.I tried to contact the warranty department but got no answer when I finally got them I just received a run around.. The engine only lasted 1800 miles a blew up!!
