Global Surf Industries sold me a leash (Surfica) that does not work at all. I have tried it 3 times and I have lost my surfboard each time at least twice. All the other (the surfboard and surfboardbag) are ok.

I've bought three surfboards from GSI and they have been polite and fair with me in all of our dealings and have great customer service. They do, however, have some areas they need to work on: 1. They screen surfboard reviews and allow only those they like/agree with to be posted to their site. I've tried to post a review of the board I bought on two different occasions on their website but I guess because I mention the board broke that it doesn't pass their screening process and they don't post it. Doesn't seem ethical of them to prevent honest reviews from being posted. The overall review was positive and there was no profanity or anything that should have prevented it from being posted. 2. Information and tracking. In every dealing I've had with GSI there is a lot of confusion as to where exactly boards are and what exactly is in stock. The first board I ordered online they emailed me that they didn't have that one in stock and convinced me to accept an alternate--they did give me a discount. The next board I ordered I waited for four weeks to come in and then when it finally came in they contact me and say, "oops, the color you wanted didn't come in but will you take the red instead of the blue?" Seems in this day and age their inventory tracking should be on the money exactly and not suffer from these hiccups.

It's been three weeks and still waiting. At least a dude called and told me the board that was going to ship was damaged so the are looking for another one? All communication went blank since then...so yeah?! Will re review upon receipt of my purchase.

Great 11' SUP board and great sales service but mediocre on the quality assurance and customer care sides. The product was shipped incredibly fast but was missing an essential part - the main fin, when it arrived. The fin was then shipped incredibly slowly and so the sum total experience fell way short of what it could have been if the company had spent the few extra dollars to expedite the shipment of the fin.

paddles well, surfs well and I'm enjoying getting back into surfing, My one disappointment is the board arrived with a indent on the bottom, Requires shipping with more protection. ie bubble wrap
