Why is there not a 0 star option. We had UHC PPO for YEARS and were so pleased; then my husband switched jobs and we got shafted with Surest. Is this even healthcare, or UHC's way to offshore the call center, require the insured to do all the legwork, and yet somehow charge us more money? My kid's doctor appointments are more money now, our monthly insurance charge is also more, and the meds are more money now. Plus, there are doctors in the app that are in-network and have no copay listed, so yay, that means I get to call Surest to figure those ones out. This should be illegal.

My job switched to surest and I cannot log into my portal. When calling support I'm being told "we cannot figure out why you cannot access portal" so if you have to use United Healthcare I recommend getting someone else.

Our company switched us from United Healthcare Choice to Surest and effectively gutted employee benefits. Surest claims "No Deductible" but they are simply calling it Co-Insurance now. My medical costs have SKYROCKETED under Surest and despite having to contribute to the cost of this NON-coverage, I am now unable to seek necessary medical care because of the astronomical cost. This is a total scam.

If I could leave zero stars I would. As a someone dealing with billing, they are absolutely worthless. Customer service is an absolute joke, and claims don't get paid. (STILL waiting on a payment from APRIL in almost OCTOBER) The AI robot is an absolute JOKE, when it could give someone a JOB. And the customer service reps just pretend they can't hear you and hang up on you when they don't have answers. Don't waste your time credentialing with this insurance provider. You'll spend more time and headaches trying to get paid than actually being able to help people. Edit: Surest replied asking me to reach out for help. As if I don’t have a whiteboard with 10 tallies of phones calls and a call reference number for this matter I am STILL working on. Again, a joke of a company.

Denied my claim for knee surgery. Then a month later denied my claim for a loop recorder (heart monitor) saying it wasn’t medically necessary. I don’t know what medical school they attended to determine that but my doctor thinks it’s pretty necessary enough to schedule the procedure of implanting a device IN MY CHEST. Worst insurance company I’ve ever had. Absolutely terrible experience.

Denied my essential blood pressure medication and blocked my essential procedure I needed from my urologist. They have been an absolute nightmare since my company switched to them from Cigna. For profit insurance companies should be illegal they only thing they care about is collecting premiums. I see why buddy got pew pewed. I am not unique in my experience. Me an my fellow co workers are going to advocate heavily against them and if the company does not change I will drop all together and go under my wife’s plan with Blue Cross. Wish there was a 0 star!

They do not cover anything. There is no way I should need a prior authorization to get insulin being an insulin resistant diabetic. Then having to wait for them to complete the PA. Then them only offering to pay $30 leaving me with the whole fee for the rest of my needed medications. Like they really don’t care if you live or not. Customer service sucks nobody knows anything and I’ve spent so much time on the phone being transferred from department to department with no resolution. They are prejudiced when it comes to in network drs. They make you pay more for certain in network providers than others. The app never works and doesn’t show correct pricing. I’m paying all this money for insurance and not getting the coverage or assistance needed to make it worth it. If I could give -5 stars I would.

They don’t even deserve a one. Absolutely horrible horrible Customer Service. You speak to someone in a Third World country and if they don’t like what you say, they hang up on you they put you on hold forever. Telling my employer to change insurance carriers. They’re rude and lack of professional professionalism is unacceptable.
