The device stopped working out of nowhere, leaving me stranded at tolls. When I reported the issue, the company's brilliant solution was to inform me that the transponder was “out of warranty” and that I had to buy a new one! So let’s recap: their product stops working, and I’m the one footing the bill. Interesting how the warranty expires faster than the device itself. At least SunPass is efficient at one thing: charging you money. As for everything else... not so much. Summary: If you enjoy paying twice for something that should work the first time, SunPass is perfect for you! 🙃

It was impossible to set up the account for the minipass I bought at Walgreens and I had to call and do it with a live agent. I traveled one day and returned my rental car a couple of days later. A day later I see my account has been replenished. I checked the account and saw that someone else's travel was charged to my account for the next day. So I learned that it was my responsibility to remove the rental car license plate from the account or whoever rented that car gets their tolls charged to my account. I contacted Sunpass and they took the license plate off my account and stopped any more charges but they were unwilling to refund me the charges from 12/16 - $14.61. What a ripoff! Very bad customer service. If there was a rating lower than one star I would give it.

I am writing this on behalf of a friend who is 86 years old. He received a Toll Enforcement Invoice in October 2024. The photo on the invoice shows a pickup truck with an unreadable license plate number. My friend moved from Florida to New Hampshire almost 4 years ago and has been in a nursing home with dementia for over 2 years. He never owned a pickup truck. The license plate number on the invoice was his when he lived in Florida. He owned a car and sold it when he moved. I called Customer Service and sent an email explaining the situation.The agent said license plate numbers can be recycled. A case number was assigned. Nothing was done because another invoice was sent in November 2024 with additional fees. Sun Pass has not provided a photo with a legible license plate number. They leave the burden of proof on the individual. How many other seniors have been sent a random photo with an old license plate number with Sun Pass asking for toll money? This is a SCAM. Beware of FL Sun Pass.

FL highways and airport lanes stopped reading my SunPass from the vehicle after being used several years. My account is active and has fund balance in it too. I called SunPass FL phone 888-TOLL-FLA, which says it is "Unable to find the transponder in the system". Suddenly they have lost my transponder number in the system! When I log into my account it shows my transponder with last digit missing as active! I elevated the issue with customer service reps 3 levels up, they all tried to sell me a new transponder. All of them with their head in the sand would not understand the the actual problem of their system loosing my transponder number, and would refuse to check their system using phone 888-TOLL-FLA. They just wanted make the problem go away by selling me a new $15 transponder, which I refused to buy as I do not believe it is my transponder issue.

Sunpass website is garbage, nothing works properly. Login is almost impossible.

Governor of Florida ordered all tolls waived during recent hurricane. Unfortunately no one told Sun Pass because they continued to charge tolls … I closed my account … the Governor should not make such claims in generalities

I was coming down Garcon point bridge on my way back to Pensacola and I do not have a sunpass, so I had to pull to the change and receipt side around 5:30? My window was broken so I had to open my door... I guess that was an issue for him .. no big deal but then there was an issue with counting my ONE dollar bill and SEVEN quarters. Wants change first I tried twice giving it to him he wouldn't take it ... Literally got loud with me because I couldn't put the bill in my other hand ( I was literally holding my door open with the other) He began with the idk why you have an additude like he didn't just have a Whole additude with me for no reason... I was not rude at all when I most deffinetly could have been!) I was being as patient with him as I could be, was just absolutely rude! Terrible experience. I will never take that bridge as long as I can help it! It's people like him that give things a bad name. 👎 I can't for the life of me think of why he chose me to act that way with maybe because I'm young ? I don't know but one thing I do know is you don't talk to people like that !

I have had the most terrifying experience with this service. I have purchased a Transponder PRO and was assured i can move it from vehicle to vehicle. When i set up the account online they required a plate number, which i have provided with the caveat that i will be returning this vehicle back to the rental company. Long and behold the day after i dropped the vehicle i have been charged another $10. I have gone back into the account, sent a message to the SunPass and deleted a plate number. A day later - another $10 gets charged. I filed another case and have deleted the credit card details and the account all together as i have now seen hundreds of dollars showing up on my account. This company charges your plate number and ignores the transponder. I am now absolutely paranoid about giving them any of my details. Hoping i can get my money back. What a rigged system! stay away and DO NOT give them your credit card details, you will be scammed
