Our Co-founder and Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Tory Waxman started Sundays as a solution to her own everyday problem: She couldn't find a dog food that was as nutritious and fresh as home-cooked meals and as convenient as dry food. And that’s how Sundays, the first fresh, air-dried food of its kind, was born. Our mission is to make it easier to be an awesome dog parent. We take the headache out of fresh food, making a nutritious and affordable solution that does require a fridge or freezer like leading raw and frozen brands. Sundays has the cleanest ingredients around; is 100% human grade; and has a Customer Care Pack who love dogs as much as you do, and are available every day for you and your pup!

Be careful with subscription services. The customer service is non-responsive. They DO NOT warn you 48 hours before shipping, and they are unable to cancel orders that are being processed. Their customer service put my account on hold, and they shipped anyway. No way to cancel. No refunds given.

Hi Kerry! We're so sorry to hear you had such a frustrating experience. While it's true that we typically can't cancel orders once they're processed, you should have received an email 48 hours ahead of time to modify or cancel. We support our customers making changes to their subscription at anytime as needed (including skipping orders), and we want you to know this is not the norm. Our Engineering team is looking into what happened here so we can make sure this doesn't happen again!

Abysmal Communication During Trial = Hard “No”
I started with the trial and am very glad I caught the “cancel by” date for the first shipment. I had portion size questions since my Bichon was in the middle of the range, yet they said to feed him what would be appropriate for the top of the weight range. I know it has more calories by volume, so I didn’t want to overfeed. I immediately realized the only contact options would be text and email. Started with text—got a “Bot” reply that an agent would be with me “soon.” Three days later (and several into our trial), no agent or update, even with repeat tries. I then emailed—same thing: Bot reply that my message was received. In the meantime, I’d get “How’s it going?” emails (advertising, it seemed) from “Emily.” Was she real? Not sure. I looked up reviews and discovered all kinds of supply chain issues, late deliveries, lack of customer service, etc. No good! Decided I need a consistent, reliable way to get my dog fed, so a subscription service like this wasn’t going to work, especially if communication is abysmal. If it wasn’t working during the trial, you can bet it won’t work in the long run. Far too expensive to add the extra worry of “Will my dog run out, and will I be running out to pick up some random kibble?” He’s a picky eater, and of course I want to feed him the best possible food, but not if it means I’ll have to suddenly switch his diet on-the-fly! He liked it as a topper (since we were phasing him), but honestly, after a few days, he wasn’t “that” excited (picky, for sure). This experience makes me hesitant to do any dog food subscription if it’s not also available in a brick and mortar store. If I’m heading out of town, I cannot wonder if the food will arrive or not, or even if it’ll arrive after I’m away and sit outside. Thumbs down for me!

Thank you so much for this detailed feedback. We’re really sorry to hear your experience was such a disappointing one. Please know that any historical service issues have been largely addressed by upgrading our supply chain partners and expanding our team over the last year. It’s clear that we fell short in this case, and we completely understand how important reliability and clear communication are. We appreciate you pointing out where things went wrong so we can improve.

Way too expensive and not worth the hype. We have two dogs, one kept throwing up after eating this and the other wouldn’t eat it at all.
Response from Sundays for DogsApr 5, 2025
Hi Lissa! We’re so sorry to hear Sundays didn’t work out for either of your dogs. Throwing up is definitely not a typical experience, especially when slowly transitioning foods. Every dog is different, and while many do great on our food, we know it’s not always the right fit.
Have you had a chance to reach out to our team about this? We’d love to learn more about what happened here and make it right. Please feel free to send over an email to [email protected]. We hope your pup's tummy is feeling better today!

Ordered for new puppy after all kinds…
Ordered for new puppy after all kinds of research. Order on Mar 21st and still have not received 14 days later! Never will order again with this kind of service
Response from Sundays for DogsApr 5, 2025
Oh no! We're incredibly sorry to hear you haven't received your order yet. This is absolutely not our typical shipping speed. Most orders arrive within a few days, so it's possible your package may have gotten lost in transit. Please reach out to our Customer Care Pack at [email protected] so we can investigate and provide a proper Sundays experience ASAP.

Don't trust a company that doesn't stand behind their own product!!
Absolutely the worst. Sure, their product is okay—if you don’t mind paying a ridiculous amount and they don't list the seed oils. But the real kicker? Their customer service is horrible. So unhelpful. They make mistakes, but guess who pays for them? (Hint: Not them.) Once they ship your order, they basically ghost you—no refunds, just apologies that they can't do anything except offer you to donate the food and show proof and you will receive 50% back. They straight-up yanked $200 from my account without so much as a courtesy email. But here’s a fun fact they won’t tell you: If you refuse the package from the carrier, they have to refund you. So, pro tip—don’t just accept bad business practices. Return to sender, and return the headache right back to them. Thank you Kyle for the refund you guys are still horrible!!

Kateryna, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We're so sorry to hear you had such a poor experience with us. It’s clear we missed the mark, and we're relieved Kyle was able to find a solution for you. Your feedback is being shared with the right people so we can improve—not just our service, but how we develop and communicate policies more clearly. If there's anything else we can do to make this situation right, please don't hesitate to reach out.

I hope you don’t need customer service for any reason…
After receiving my order for Sundays dog food (chicken),I figured out my dog is allergic to chicken. So I texted the customer service number and was told it was changed in the system to beef, which is what I requested. Wouldn’t you know I was charged over $300 and sent chicken AGAIN. When I let customer service know, 3 days later, I received a message saying that I can’t send it back or get a refund….. like it was my fault. I even attached the text message to the text where the customer service rep said she was changing it in the system. So I’m out a LOT of money and have no food for my dog to eat. They may have good dog food, but you better hope you don’t need something changed on your account because they offer no solutions and act like it’s your problem. Not pleased or impressed with their customer service for a VERY expensive dog food. Piss poor customer service. Not impressed

My poor doggie
I waited an entire week without receiving any tracking information for my order. After reaching out to customer support, I received a text two days later informing me that my order was being canceled and refunded—without any explanation. Now my dog is left without her usual food, and I have nothing to help her transition to a new brand, which will likely upset her stomach. Really disappointed in how this was handled.

Oh no, how odd! We're so sorry this happened to you. It definitely doesn't sound like a typical experience with our team. Unfortunately, we were unable to find an account or any conversation history under your name. Would you mind reaching back out to woof@sundaysfordogs so we can look into this again and explain what happened here? Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

I stopped using Sundays about four…
I stopped using Sundays about four months ago because I was billed for products I didn't want. Since I had a 50% off coupon, I decided to try it again. The same thing happened; I only wanted the sampler for $20,00. The order was placed for two more boxes, costing $72.00 each. I canceled the shipment within seconds. There is no customer service phone number. So I immediately sent an e-mail. Two days later, I got a response stating that the order was already placed and sent out. I sent out another e-mail with the same reaction: nothing could be done, or I could take it to a local shelter, donate it, send them a receipt, and they would credit my account 50%. BEWARE when ordering.
