Our Co-founder and Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Tory Waxman started Sundays as a solution to her own everyday problem: She couldn't find a dog food that was as nutritious and fresh as home-cooked meals and as convenient as dry food. And that’s how Sundays, the first fresh, air-dried food of its kind, was born. Our mission is to make it easier to be an awesome dog parent. We take the headache out of fresh food, making a nutritious and affordable solution that does require a fridge or freezer like leading raw and frozen brands. Sundays has the cleanest ingredients around; is 100% human grade; and has a Customer Care Pack who love dogs as much as you do, and are available every day for you and your pup!

Hi Mark! So sorry to hear this. Most of our costs are spent on sourcing and preserving the highest quality ingredients possible. We understand this price point may not work for everyone. That said, plenty of customers use our food as a topper for their pup when they can!

My Lucy is a 12-year-old Dalmatian
My Lucy is a 12-year-old Dalmatian. She is not overweight and does not act as if she has mobility issues. She does have terrible dry skin, which makes her scratch, dig, chew and the likes. I was very excited to try this food, with great hopes. She seemed to like the food at first, but after a few days, she took a long time to eat it. Took longer than should have to finish the bag. The one we tried did get very dusty and broken down as you get to the bottom of the bag. Unfortunately, I do not see me continuing for her, and I don't want someone to not try it because of Lucy. It just did not work for her.

So sorry to hear Lucy wasn't a fan! 💔 We'd love to recommend a different recipe that may help with her skin and scratching. Sometimes a protein switch can make a huge difference. If you're open to it, please send our team a note at [email protected] so we can find a better fit for Lucy!

We switched to Sundays for my 8yr old…
We switched to Sundays for my 8yr old dogs (Shih Tzu and Cockapoo). They enjoyed it but seemed a lot more hungry between meals. The poops we’re better at first but went back to normal after a couple weeks. They both started getting an odor about them. Was told it’s “fresher” and can linger in the fur around their faces. But their entire bodies smelled like what I can only describe as dog B.O. It wasn’t just their face. My cockapoo developed some fatty lumps around her hind quarters and chest. My Shih Tzu started getting a lot of sebaceous cysts. We switched back and all the odors are gone. My cockapoo no longer has fatty masses and most of the cysts have gone away on my Shih Tzu. We went through 4 bags before we changed our minds and had fed at recommended dose. Even our vet made the comment to switch back. Just beware when buying the marketing of these new brands. They’re not researched well enough. Fads are not where to place your faith.

We're so sorry to hear Sundays wasn't a fit for your pups. Reactions like this are extremely unusual, though we certainly understand how scary this can be as a parent! While our recipes are vet-formulated and completely safe, they may not be a fit for every pup. We're happy to hear they're feeling better again—that is most important to us. 💛

Great product. Just don't expect customer service.
We decided to try an air dried food for our 3 dogs as the fresh (frozen) human grade plan we were on was labor intensive with 3 separate plans and all the containers required for thawed meals. Not to mention the room the meals took up in the freezer. Initially our pups dove into the Sundays. It took almost 3 weeks to get our trial subscription and the company shipped our first order before we even got our trial order. Thankfully the dogs loved the Sundays. My first and second interaction with the company went well and my issues were resolved promptly. Then came "the biggie". I still had 3 full large bags of food plus half another bag and was informed my next order would be shipping soon. WHAT? It had only been a short time since I received my first order. I went into my account and modified the ship date for the order. That should have taken care of it but a pop up revealed that even though I changed the ship date the charges would be processed on the original scheduled ship date. I immediately fired off an email to resolve this issue and....crickets! (which I have noted is a common complaint) No response to my email. After 3 days I went in and cancelled all future orders and am currently trying two other brands of air dried food. This company has a decent product though it is very pricy. However, their customer service is so poor I'd be surprised if they are able to stay in business if they don't address this issue immediately. As a business owner for over 35 years I know how important customer service is and this company has fallen flat on its face in this area.

Let me start off by saying that I love…
Let me start off by saying that I love this product. My dog loves it, it has great ingredients, and I can tell it’s high quality dog food. My negative review is solely because of the customer service and how they have handled shipments. I have had issues with not receiving in time and over shipments. On multiple occasions I received a notification from my
Credit card that a large purchase was made (between $200-400) that I wasn’t expecting. One time I went to change, as the window to change was supposed to still be open, but they shipped too early. I emailed Sundays, didn’t hear back, emailed again, didn’t hear back, and then emailed a THIRD time, and finally heard back after 10 days basically saying I could donate the food to a shelter and receive a 50% refund if I showed a receipt (mind you, this was their problem). After that issue I canceled my account because it’s just not worth it. Well I just got a charge of $385 after I cancelled!! I have the email from them saying I cancelled well before this shipment so I reported it as fraud to my credit card company as it clearly was not an authorized purchase. Not worth the hassle.

Bad experience, but eventual resolution
Update: When Sundays for Dogs got my email, they did reply and it was very apologetic. Not only that, but they refunded the amount of the dog food in full, and I was not expecting that, so I am very grateful. They also said to just refuse the shipment, or to keep it if it had already arrived. It had arrived the day before they responded, so I also appreciate them not making me go through hassle of shipping it back to them.
That said, I received excellent customer service...once they actually got to me. It took 5 days from the first moment I contacted them to receive any communication at all. And, while I am grateful for the refund, it was well after Thanksgiving that it appeared back into my account, so I was still unable to buy the Thanksgiving meal that I had planned. Bottom line is, being friendly and helpful is a hallmark of good customer service, but timeliness is essential to it. On the bright side, the representative said, "I know this was a frustrating experience and it's one that we will learn from." I hope that is true because the food itself is quality, so if they can get that very important aspect of the business in check, along with giving people FAR greater notice if they're going to charge their account twice in one month, I think it would be an excellent company.
I'm on a plan where my dog's food is delivered every 33 days. I just got my last order 10 days ago, on November 12, as expected. Yesterday, November 21, I opened my email and saw a message from them saying my next order was placed. I was like, "what the heck?!" I hadn't checked my email for a couple of days, so I scrolled down and found an email from the 19th saying they were shipping early to "get ahead of the holidays". It also said, "Too soon? Edit your order until December 2nd." I immediately went to their site in a panic because I had just paid $217 and sure as heck couldn't afford another $217 just 10 days later. But, I had no option to edit it because they'd already charged my card and said the order was shipping tomorrow (now today). They gave a phone number, so I called, but it was too late in the evening. They also gave a number that said "text anytime", so I did, explaining everything I just did above, but got an automated reply. It was late, so I figured they'd respond in the morning. Nope. But I'm sure they've seen it because I texted again, "Hello???" and this time I didn't get the automated reply...just no reply at all. And, when I went back to the website to find the contact information again, it now says, "Our phone lines for calls are currently down".
I agreed to shipment every 33 days, NOT every 10 days because they arbitrarily decide that they want to "get ahead of the holidays". After just having spent $4,000 in vet bills the last two months, I have been severely strapped. But, the cause of those bills is also the reason I needed to get my dog on a food like Sundays. So, it's already almost undoable paying that extra $217 a month, but by charging me twice in one month, ~20 days ahead of schedule and with no communication except an unexpected, extremely short notice email, and no way to get ahold of customer service, they literally just took the Thanksgiving dinner I was going to buy this weekend off of me and my husband's table.
I am a former LVT and still have many friends in the veterinary community. I will be sharing this experience with all of them.

Too bad - Sadie loves the food
My dog Sadie loves the food, but due to the inconsistency with shipping I’ll have to find another food. I contacted customer service to confirm that I would actually receive enough food to cover the month since their recommendation amount was to feed a 70 lb dog and my dog is 96 lbs. I requested my next order to go ahead and process on Nov 13. It showed shipping as the status, my cc was charged on Nov 14, making me think it has shipped. I even received a text saying the order processed. I’ve been trying to contact the company via phone, text and email for a few days. Finally today I received a text saying the system had placed a hold on my order and would I like to proceed with the order. I responded that I need it and that was why I ordered it. Now no response from anyone. I don’t like changing her food and she has a sensitive stomach but I’ll be out of food and have no choice. Too bad they can’t get their operations / customer service fixed to match their product.

It was okay for a few days
It was okay for a few days, but then one dog started throwing it up undigested and then a few days later another one. Of course it was past their meager 14 day window to return it. You are supposed to transition and that takes time so by the time you know it doesn't agree with your dog it is too late. Two of mine don't digest it. One is fine with it.
The pieces are like jerky and I think it was just too hard to digest.
