Our Co-founder and Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Tory Waxman started Sundays as a solution to her own everyday problem: She couldn't find a dog food that was as nutritious and fresh as home-cooked meals and as convenient as dry food. And that’s how Sundays, the first fresh, air-dried food of its kind, was born. Our mission is to make it easier to be an awesome dog parent. We take the headache out of fresh food, making a nutritious and affordable solution that does require a fridge or freezer like leading raw and frozen brands. Sundays has the cleanest ingredients around; is 100% human grade; and has a Customer Care Pack who love dogs as much as you do, and are available every day for you and your pup!
Sundays for Dogs (sundaysfordogs.com) has 1,169 customer reviews on Five Star Index, with an average rating of 4.2 out of 5.

Their customer service department is run by robots. We can never get a call back or an email back and I get identically written text messages so I know that their computer is generating them. I am trying to order something with a question What if I bought product and then had a problem;there’s no way to ever talk to a human

While my dog loves this food and I feel good feeding this to her, it is really difficult to use the company because of their poor delivery options. I am supposed to get a shipment every 30 days; I've been waiting for 10 days since my shipment is supposed to arrive and the tracking still says "label created". I emailed their customer service 3 days in a row, with no response. I called their customer service phone number and, after waiting on hold, got a "no agents are available so leave a message". The tough part about this is I don't want to transition her to another dog food, but I can't count on getting the delivery. If their customer service would simply respond and give me a status, I would know what to do. As it is, I'll have to cancel my subscription since I don't have much food to do the transition.

Their subscription is not a straight-forward cancellation, so they make it hard to stop the service. My dogs ate the food, but their stools were running once I shifted them to majority Sunday. Much better options out there for the price!!

I’ve been using Sundays for almost a year now. The product is expensive (more than $200 per month) but I trusted their claims and my dog was going well on it. However, the big disappointment has been their supply issues now. It arrived a week late a couple of times so I had to supplement with kibble. My Jan 12 order was paid for but never shipped (it’s now Jan 30 and we ran out of Sundays 5 days ago). Their customer service apologized when zi contacted them almost a week ago and said they were “pivoting and shipping from a different facility and that I would get the tracking details”. 5 days later and no tracking details or no notification. They seem to be unable to supply the demand. If I can’t trust their supply, I have to cancel.

I ordered food for both my dogs on Dec 18th. I was traveling during the holidays and decided to try the food for both my dogs when I returned from vacation on January 2nd. On Jan 7th, I reported that one of my dogs did not digest the food well and threw up multiple times. The other dog's stool was very soft. I asked for a refund, and I would return several bags that were unopened. They did not offer me a refund for the one dog with the loose stool and gave me a 50% discount on the dogs with the digestive issues. They claim I only had 14 days to get back to them for a full refund. Given the holidays, I don't think this is a great customer experience and would suggest finding another provider.

Generally this boutique food is okay in terms of ingredients. What I don’t like is the high fat content. Pancreatitis is a common result of small batch specialty dog food like this - and I would be extremely cautious if considering switching entirely. I use the food as a topper or a reward and my dog loves the taste - but this week she’s been vomiting to an alarming degree and is being screened for, you guessed it, pancreatitis. She otherwise has low fat treats when training (no cheese tax in this household) so nothing else accounts for it.

Hi Tianna! Thanks so much for reaching out! I am so sorry to hear your pup isn't feeling well. Our three recipes provide a range of fat from 18-25%. Sundays does prioritized animal protein, which does make it higher in bioavailable fats. Dietary fat is one of many factors that may trigger pancreatitis and depends on an individual dog's health. Sundays may not be the best fit for a dog either known fat sensitivity. If you would like us to take a closer look into this for you, please reach out to us directly at [email protected].
