I purchased a set of pistons on June 27, 2023, from Summit through their customer service, the order was taken politely and efficiently processed, with the correct / required piston specs included in my invoice. I promptly received my very own box of the wrong bore diameter pistons this morning. This will cause the machine shop to push my work back and further delay finishing my work. Attention to detail is essential in any competent engine work, yet sadly lacking by most vendors.

Have bought many times from Summit and it have worked great, but orders take longer and longer time due that they seem to shrink their stock like most firms. the last order I did not recieve at all and no one will take response. I payed with PayPal with their so called money back insuranse. No money no parts. Pay Pal must be the worthless company existed.

Every other order is missing parts. Spent thousands of dollars there over the past few years. They will not be getting much more business from me unless I get a huge discount.

I've ordered here before, usually with a couple of months delivery time. With my last order they contacted me after over of month of waiting saying they couldn't get the parts. So I wasted a month on waiting for something they said they could get, locking my money during the process. Told them this was not very professional and they told me nothing could be done. At the time of writing, the parts they said they could not get I still have not received a refund on.

In November of 2018 I ordered a rear bumper for my 1963 Galaxie 500. Arrival was stated to occur in early February 2019. Not a big deal I was gathering parts for the lengthy restoration. Mid-February I contacted them and they responded with a don't care attitude and not the least bit apologetic. The next estimate was Mid-March and then I followed up in March to discover Mid-April was the new expected arrival. It did finally arrive in late April 2019. Their website should provide tracking information for orders when they're delayed or back ordered. The customer should not have to pursue their sales department for their order's status. I suspect they don't have brainiacs managing this large company and instead have car guys that are good at cars, but not at running a company that should be geared around the customer. Sadly, I've gone back to Summit Racing and bought items I can't find elsewhere or couldn't find a better price. My warning is if it isn't in stock when you order it, beware of the frustration and delays you could likely face. I'd love it if some other racing parts company could seriously challenge their customer base -- a win-win for the customer and competing company.

I ordered a Rotofab cold air induction system from Summit. Not only was it incorrectly listed for my year of car on their website, but they refused to make it right. I had to call the manufacturer and they took care of the issue. Summit racing may be a legend but their customer service is terrible!! I would recommend buying your performance parts elsewhere.

I ordered several parts for my small block chevy. Everything was going smoothly until the packages arrived. The fittings I ordered were not chrome to match the fuel filter I ordered. When I went and checked my email to make sure I ordered the right part it showed a picture of a chrome straight barbed adapter which is what I believed I ordered. So I called to see what went wrong. This is where the problem came in. The guy on the line seemed agitated that I was calling. Tells me ya the picture is of a chrome piece but you ordered a black 1. In small print at the bottom when you scroll down its says black swivel not chrome straight. He was not much help and blamed me for not ordering the correct part. Be careful and read everything even the smallest print. Picture can show 1 thing and you will get another. No help after that either. He Just told they dont have chrome parts in so I pretty much had to deal with it or get my parts else where. So that's what I'm going to do. I figure they did not have the chrome parts in I ordered so they took liberty and sent these black ones instead. They need to make three online store easier to know what you are ordering and they need better customer service. Even if I did accidentally order the wrong part they should of been nicer in helping me fix it. Not just write me off. F for customer service. C for eas of use on there website.
