My old wetsuit was probably 15 years…
My old wetsuit was probably 15 years old and I finally lost the emotional attachment to it. I was really nervous about a new suit, but now that I was swimming long distance I needed a really good one to keep me warm over a 5 km distance. Having had hypothermia a few years ago also added to the struggle to find the best option. Sumarpo is a sponsor of the Canaqua swim series and it was highly recommended. After some time researching I ordered a suit. Not only did the company suggest sizing, they reconfirmed by email as well. The suit took a couple of weeks to get here, which I expected based on the shipping statements. When I first tried it on it seemed a little tight and I was worried about the shoulders and neck. However, the first swim put all my fears to rest, not only was it really comfortable, it kept me warm and it was buoyant. There was no restriction in the shoulders and even though the neck was tight, it was fine while in the water. It was much easier to get on and off compared to my old suit. It was also lighter and stretchier. I practice open water swimming once a week so it is being well used. I am super happy with it and would recommend it highly! Being Eco Friendly was also a huge bonus!
