I’ve worked with Sugo Music Group for several years, and my experience has been consistently positive. From day one, their team was clear about contract terms, distribution timelines, and what services were (and weren’t) included. In an industry where communication can be vague, I’ve appreciated their responsiveness and transparency—every question I’ve had about licensing, publishing, or royalties has been answered quickly and thoroughly. My music has been placed on all the major streaming platforms and in international markets I wouldn’t have reached on my own. They’ve also helped ensure my publishing rights are properly registered and protected, which is essential for long-term royalty collection. Sugo is not a “magic button” for instant fame—they operate like a real business partner: you get out what you put in. They provide the tools, distribution, and admin support so I can focus on creating and promoting my music. For independent artists serious about their careers, they’re a reliable ally.

I’ve had a fantastic experience with Sugo Music Group—from start to finish, they’ve been professional, responsive, and genuinely supportive of my music journey. Their customer service goes above and beyond. Anytime I had a question about licensing, royalties, or distribution channels, I received quick and clear answers. It’s rare these days to find a team that combines industry expertise with a personal touch. My music is distributed to all the top platforms. Not sure about this surge of negative reviews because their service is the real deal IMO.

As an artist it's important to have the support of a great distributor to get my works in the right places and offer assistance when needed. Sugo Music Group has been incredibly helpful is offering insights on how I can promote my own music to consumers and in assistance in seeking licensing opportunities for my work. It's a relationship I've appreciated for almost a decade and look forward to the continued relationship with this company.

My name is Robert Lee Chaffee. I’ve been signed to Sugo music group since 2013. I am a singer songwriter. I’ve been extremely happy with all the wonderful things they’ve done for me. I get my royalty checks on time every three months with a description of where people around the world are enjoying my music. They handle my distribution around the world, but they also take care of licensing and publishing. I find the staff at Sugo very professional and fourth right. Their advice to me, helping me navigate this very competitive industry, has always been right on the money. I find their customer service and professionalism, exceeds my expectations and the industry standards. I’m baffled that people have been leaving negative reviews about Sugo music group. My impression of the people that are leaving these disgruntled reviews is, that they wanna be recording artists but they aren’t meeting industry standards for professional recording. Perhaps Sugo caught them stealing from real artists. I am very GRATEFUL and feel Blessed to be a recording artist/singer songwriter in the Sugo Music Group. BTW, I haven’t seen any negative reviews from my colleagues and peers that also have songs with Sugo. A-listers like Willie Nelson. Sincerely, Robert Lee Chaffee. PS, Fight against the enemy of Love and Truth and change our world for the better!

Response from Sugo Music GroupAug 1, 2025
We acknowledge the frustration and disappointment that can come from unexpected content removals. During 2025, DSPs have continued to enhance their compliance systems—placing greater emphasis on validating rights, enforcing copyright regulations, removing products using unlicensed beats and samples, and combating artificial streaming. These actions are not initiated by our company, but reflects enforcement decisions made by global digital service providers. At Sugo, we represent all styles and genres, and as an artist-focused distributor, we strive to support our rights holders and act in their best interest. Like all distributors, we must follow evolving platform and legal standards to protect the rights of all parties. While DSPs may occasionally misidentify ownership, we understand that some artists may explore other distribution options as a result. Our records show that your February 2024 agreement was terminated in May 2025. Your final royalty statement and payment are scheduled for the Q3/2025 royalty cycle, in line with our regular reporting schedule. Thank you for your understanding as the industry continues to evolve. We remain committed to fairness and compliance for all music rights holders.

This is a scam I wasted a lot of time on. I distributed 23 releases with them, they blocked the artwork of ab024 which is Deepest Top, (I actually updated the coverart adding fonts to it)... Now they deleted my entire catalogue! I never heard from them, I have 1.36$ on my last report... Beware, this is a fraud

We recognize how challenging the current distribution landscape can be for artists. At Sugo Music Group, we’ve genuinely enjoyed your work—particularly your electronic, downtempo, industrial, and ambient compositions. Many of your tracks have played regularly throughout our office sound system. And yes, regarding "Deepest Top," we've especially appreciated its multi-layered ambient textures and rhythmic depth. Over the past year, digital service providers have significantly tightened their compliance and editorial policies—particularly around rights validation, unlicensed beats and samples, and other editorial preferences. These actions were not initiated by our company but reflect enforcement decisions made by global DSPs. While DSPs may occasionally misattribute rights ownership, we understand that some artists may choose to explore alternative distribution options as a result. Our records indicate that your agreement was formally terminated in May 2025. If applicable, your final royalty statement and payment are scheduled for the Q3/2025 royalty cycle, in accordance with our standard reporting schedule. We remain committed to fairness, transparency, and industry compliance, and we appreciate your understanding as the digital landscape continues to evolve.
