Worst company I have ever had to deal with! I would have given them negative stars. I have been with them for 15 years and pay monthly $225 and have NEVER missed, but they turned me into collections because they wanted their entire balance paid by March. Threaten to lock my tank. I scraped up an entire payment and made them happy. Well, I requested fuel over a week ago and NO TRUCK! I am out of fuel and freezing my butt off. I am switching to Youngstown Propane and will be happy to do so. Hope this horrible company goes bankrupt because they deserve nothing more than that!

My experience with Suburban Propane, Timmonsville went from bad to awful. A 325 gal underground tank. Starting with a very poor and faulty installation, too many couplings in the line, depth of the installation and use of various sizes tubing. I don't know when the leaks started but a few years after installation the line had to be removed and a new one installed for which they attempted to charge me. Also each year they try to slip in a rental fee and I have to produce my contract each year to prove I have no rental fee. Their prices are double of other propane companies, they charge to check for gas leaks, there is a delivery charge even if your tank is full and they don't add any propane. I have been a customer about 15 years but after speaking to no so friendly customer service and then being charged $5.399/gal on my last delivery, I finally made the decision to rid myself of Suburban and have the tank removed. The charges they tacked on for that were outrageous. They did compensate me for the fuel but deducted $100. close out fees, $243. Pump out fee, $14. other fees, and also to add insult to injury, a $10. late payment fee which I feel I did not owe. My current supplier is a pleasure, they are courteous, they dug up the old suburban tank and installed a new tank. Did a nice clean up. Rates are less than half of what Suburban was charging.

Aside from the fact that they came twice in a week and charged me $300 each time and I’m still trying to figure that out. But then again someone just came out this week when temps are clearly going up and filled my tank without so much a call to ask if I needed or wanted it; no big deal till I looked out the window to see what he was doing as he was relieving himself on my tank! seriously! Nasty then I hear they tried to lock my neighbors tank off in the middle of this pandemic knowing that’s illegal!

I give 2 stars not for their service. I am on an auto fill program, never had any issues with that portion of the service. Yesterday they delivered propane at a whopping $5.97 a gallon so 100 gallons with taxes was nearly $700.00. I believe they just lost me as a loyal customer in the future.

This company totally takes advantage of customers who have leased their equipment. They totally charge way more than anyone else in the area. Please please please call around before you get sucked into their system. Horrible horrible business model which screws people over. We plan to get all of our neighbors to switch to someone else.

We trusted this company for a yaer and half. Then i checked and found they had snuck prices up and were charging me almost 50% more than every other company in Portland Oregon where we Nothing criminal about charging insanely high prices...its their right. On the other hand, the pretense that they are good people to deal with is a lie. They cuaught me for sure. Im naive that way. I really want to follow their trucks around and put flyers in peoples mailboxes telling them to call around and check pricing of other companies.
