I’m very unhappy with StudyFetch
I’m very unhappy with StudyFetch. I used the AI to create several quizzes for topics I need to study in alchemy, but many of the questions were too obvious to be useful. For example, it asked: “Which substance class does methoxypropane belong to?” The answer choices were alkoxyalkane, amide, amine, and alkanone. The correct answer, alkoxyalkane, is almost directly given away by the name of the substance itself. Instead of testing whether I actually understand the properties or details of the substance class, the quiz only tested whether I could recognize a similar-looking word. Another problem was with image-based questions. The quiz would show a picture of a substance and ask which substance class it belonged to. But then the multiple-choice answers also included pictures of substances from those classes. This made the answer extremely easy to guess because I only had to match the picture from the question to one of the pictures in the answer choices. Overall, the quizzes did not help me learn the material properly. They often gave away the answer instead of testing real understanding.
